Chapter 8

Zander's P.O.V

"He's Coming through, Thank heavens" Alfred stated as dad started to wake up from whatever the gas did to him.

"Good thing I had my masked and goggles on or we'd both would've died." I Said as I sat on the table beside Dick and Alfred.

"It was also a good thing you both weren't to far from where your last transmission was." Dick added.

Dad was in a straight jacket laying on the bed.

"How long have I been-?" Dad asked

"Seven hours" Dick said quickly as dad tried to adjust his eyes.

"Unh. Damian. If those animals get their hands on him-"Dad said while trying to get up. But Dick and Alfred held him down.

"We've been out there, dad. There's no sign of him." I explained to dad.

"I'll help you guys." Dad responded

"You're of no help to anyone in your current state,sir. You must rest." Alfred told him

"NO, don't you understand? I have to find him. He's one of my sons." Dad said looking at us. We got him out of the straight jacket and he put on his suit. We were watching the cameras in the manor to see several red dots moving around.

"Red security grid up and active?" Dick asked

"Unless someone shut it down and didn't bother to tell us." I suggested as me and dad looked at Alfred

"Most unkind,sir." Alfred said to us.

"Well what do we do now?" I asked them

"I don't know if it's Bruce Wayne or Batman that the Cout's come for. But either way, they're about to get a welcome they'll never forget." Dad declared as he put on his cowl. Alfred left for the Batcave so the three of us ran through the main hall of the manor. We were surrounded so we formed a small circle with our backs to each other. Dick took out his escrima sticks, dad got into a fighting pose, and I got my kunais out.

"What the hell are these things?" Dick asked us.

"Not sure if they're actually alive, but I've seen first hand that they can be destoyed." Dad told him we soon began fighting them and they grappled Dick through his arms and legs one came at him with a giant axe and dad knocked it out of its hand with a batarang. Dad and I then helped Dick into the lift to the batcave and Dad pushed me into it and presses a button to make the door shut.

"Dad, no" I said as dad shut the lift.

"Come on, lets get to Alfred." I told Dick.

Alfred got all the knives out of him and bandaged him then I saw dad come in.

"There's to many of those things to fight without help. Progress Report, Alfred." Dad told Alfred

"Soon I hope." He told Dad.

"Soon may not be good enough." Dad told him.

An explosion happened and the Talons came through the ground into the Batcave, so me, dad and Dick went to attack them.

"Alfred!" Dad yelled

"A few final adjustments, sir. You see, I've received some pertinent information from Master...." Alfred didn't finish his sentence

"Open the damn doors." Dad told him.

Dick and I fought off some of the talons and than the main Talon approached us.

"You both would have made good Talons." he told us and then started to attack us.

"Now, I'm only gonna say this once, you sons of bitches. Get the hell out of my cave." I heard dad say through the mech and saw Alfred with his shotgun

"We've got to get to that utility core, Master Bruce." Alfred told him and he climbed onto the mech

Talon then stabbed Dick in the shoulders. Than went to the Batmobile and drove it into dad.

"Dad!" I yelled and jumped down onto Talon. He pushed me off and threw me into the wall and Dad took off his mask and came towards him.

"You and the Court tried to take control of my city and destroy my home, but worst of all, you messed with my kids. So this is gonna hurt and I'm going to enjoy it." Dad said started fighting Talon, when I got back up from being thrown I saw Talon stab dad in his side, and then kick him repeatedly in then face, then step on his back with spikes.

"And now-" Talon was about to say but than Damian came down and screamed no.

"Damian, listen to me, he's not worth it. Let him go, Let him die." Talon told him

"Like how you let your father die?" Damian questioned him

"Stupid boy" Talon said and I jumped and kicked him away from Damian.

"Heres an idea for you Talon, go fuck yourself" I told him and got another pair of Kunais out. He started to attack both me and Damian

"Damian, He'll never let you go, for us to be free, he has to die. Then the Wayne fortune will be ours, the Owls, they'll never find us. Now tell him good by boys." He told us and we both jumped on him and attacked him.

"You filthy ingrate, everything i've done was for you and this is how you repay me? Then so be it." He said and we begin to fight again.

"You could never replace Batman" I told him.

"He's our father." Damian told him while holding the sai to Talons troat. Talon pulled Damian's arm and stabbed himself in the throat with the sai.

"Are you both alright? I'm proud of you both," Dad said walking up to us.

"Welcome home," He said to Damian,

"No, I could have killed him, maybe I should have, but the both of you were in my head. You wouldn't let me, you, Zander, Talia, Ra's, you're all in here. But where am I? How can I ever be the son you need me to be, when I don't even know who I am? I have to go" Damian said walking off but dad stops him.

"Damian there's a school..." Dad was saying

"In Switzerland, yeah you told me about it." Damian said

"No. This is a monastery in the Himalayas. I stayed there years ago when I was lost, troubled. And the monks help me in ways that proved to be very..." Dad said

"I don't need any help but maybe I will later on" Damian told him and gave dad a hug I joined in on the hug and dad wrapped his arms around the both of us.

*A few days later*

"Gotham P.D.'s colleting evidence at the Court of Owls. I suspected Samantha's involvement early on. S.T.A.R. Labs should have an analysis of the talons' remains within a week." Dad said as we were going through the book shelves when I spotted an interesting one, 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone'
sounds cool, probably gonna read that later.

"He needs this time to find his own place in the world." Dad said

"He's a 10-year-old boy" Dick said to him

"Actually we are both 12" I told Dick

"And No they both just look like some. There's not any other children on Earth like Damian and Zander Wayne." Dad said to Dick

"When the time is right Damian will come back, and it wont be because I want him to, It'll be because he wants to." Dad said

"And if you're wrong sir?" Alfred asked him

"Sometimes, Alfred, you have to have a little faith." Dad said

And that is the end of the Batman vs Robin arc I think I might move Batman Bad Blood Until after Justice Leage Vs Teen Titans, but anyway hope you guys enjoyed.
