It was Louis and Harry's last week together before heading back to college. Despite Louis' broken arm, they boys still made the most of their last days together as they weren't sure when they'd be able to see each other again.
They went on numerous lunch and dinner dates, watched all the movies they possibly could, and spent every last second in each other's arms.
The day before the boys were leaving, their mums threw a going away party with each of the boys sisters.
In Louis' backyard, they had set up tables with blue and green tablecloths, piled with foods. One table was covered in sandwiches, mini quiches and a cob loaf. The other was filled with desserts, such as cookies, donuts and cakes. Louis' younger sisters were in heaven. Gemma connected to the speaker and began playing music they could all dance to. The group spent hours dancing, singing, laughing and chatting.
Harry was having such a great time that he had forgotten that he was leaving in the morning. When the realisation hit him, he started to feel sad. He didn't know when he would be able to see his family again, when he was going to see Louis again. He was excited to be able to see Niall again, but things were different now. He had a boyfriend who was going to be 3 hours away.
Louis noticed Harry's change in demeanour. "Hey love, wanna go up to my room and chat?"
Harry nodded as Louis grabbed his hand and the pair walked upstairs.
"You look sad, are you okay?" Louis asked softly, brushing his thumb across Harry's cheek.
"I don't want you to leave again." Harry whispered as tears began to fall down his face.
"I'm only a train ride away, love. We'll both be busy but I'm sure there'll be some weekends we can meet up." Louis said optimistically.
"But what if you find someone new and you want to explore that? I don't want to hold you back." Harry was just about sobbing at this point. He could bare the thought of being away from his boyfriend again. He was scared that Louis would just stop messaging again which would kill him.
"Harry, I only want you. And to prove it to you, I got you a present." Louis smiled. He pulled out a small box and handed it to Harry.
"Lou, you didn't have to-"
"Just opened it." Louis exclaimed. Harry nodded and opened the box.
Inside was a silver ring with the word 'peace' engraved in the band. Harry instantly fell in love with it, putting it on his middle finger and pulling Louis in for a hug.
"I love it, Lou." Harry smiled, looking at the ring on his finger.
"That is my promise to you that I will be yours forever." Louis blushed. "I want you to think of me every time you look at it and know that I am always with you. No matter what."
Harry gave Louis a kiss. "I'm still going to call you every day and be that super annoying clingy boyfriend that everyone hates." He laughed.
"That's fine by me. I'll still love you." Louis smiled pulling Harry in for a more passionate kiss than the one before. Harry moaned as Louis tugged on his hair and kissed on his neck. Harry wanted the boy to take him then and there.
Louis stopped abruptly, making Harry groan.
"We should get back to the party." Louis whispered seductively into Harry's ear beforehand jumping up and heading out of the room.
Harry sighed before getting up and straightening out his clothes before heading back down to the party.
He spent the rest of the night enjoying the company of family and cuddling Louis as much as he could. As the night came to an end, Harry left Louis with a goodnight kiss before heading home to pack his bags.

The next morning, Harry finished packing his things before heading downstairs for breakfast. His mum had made chocolate chip pancakes. He had invited Louis but the boy hadn't shown up, so Harry assumed he had slept in. It made him feel sad that he couldn't see his boyfriend before catching the train back to his university, but it was his fault for booking a ticket for 8am.
"Do we have time to stop by Louis' before I go?" Harry asked his mum sadly as they finished breakfast.
"I'm sorry, dear. You'll miss your train." Anne sighed, saddened for the boy.
Harry collected his bags and headed for the car. Tears began to form in his eyes as he pulled out his phone to text Louis.
H: I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. I love you and I'll miss you. H x
They arrived at the train station with only minutes to spare before the train arrived. The platform was busy so he knew he had some time to say his goodbyes to his mum and sister.
"I'll miss you bud." Gemma said as she embraced Harry in a tight hug. "I'll come visit in a couple of weeks yeah?"
Harry smiled as he turned to his mum, who had tears drippings down her cheeks.
"I'll be back in a couple of months Mum, don't you worry." He giggled as he pulled her in for a tight squeeze.
"Just be safe, yeah?" She whimpered.
Harry turned to hop on the train. He looked at his phone one last time but he still had heard nothing from Louis. He wiped a tear from his eyes as he heard something unusual behind him.
"Harry? Harry? Harry!"
Louis was running down the train platform, still in his pyjamas. Harry ran up to him and leapt into his arms, tears falling down his face freely.
"I thought I wouldn't get to say goodbye." He cried into Louis' shoulder.
"I'm sorry, love. I slept in but I got here as soon as I could. I'm going to miss you." He pulled Harry in for a passionate kiss, just as the train conductor blew his whistle.
"I have to go, I love you so much Louis. I'm going to miss you so much." He said, hugging the boy one last time.
"I love you too, Styles." Louis smirked. "Call me when you get in."
Harry hopped on the train and sank into his seat, the emotions overwhelming him. It's only a couple of months, he kept reassuring himself.
