2 - Jealousy

Jealousy- to feel resentment, bitterness, or hostility towards someone because they have something that you don't. The state of feeling or being jealous. It was something that Paige had never experienced before. Growing up, despite her parents getting a divorce and having separate family of their own she never felt any jealousy towards her other siblings. It was always something she was grateful for her parents as they treated each one of them equally. During middle school, high school and now in college her teammates or friends were always very supportive of one another that they don't think about comparing themselves with whoever is the best player on their team. Even though Paige is very competitive she doesn't compare herself to anybody and was very content with herself. When it comes to her relationships in the past she has never been the jealous type and she's certain nothing is going to change that. Or so she thought.

"Kk c'mon we're gonna be late." Paige called from the hallway as she waited outside of Kk's apartment who she shared with Aubrey, Ashlyn and Ines. They were heading to the Geno for the kids event at TPC River Highlands Clubhouse to which they were invited as well as the other girls from their team to be the guest and help raise money for their coach's charity. The theme was 'Beach wear' so she was wearing a striped cardigan with white top tucked in her matching cream colored pants. Kk was also wearing a matching white shirt and pants.

Noticing they both wore the same shoes Kk laughed as they made their way to Paige's car. "Wow P copying my shoe game huh?"

"Nah, I was already wearing it before you finished getting ready." Opening the car door they both went inside her car and started pulling out of the parking lot.

"Okay so boom, we're twinning!"

Shaking her head in amusement at her friends excitement, she took out her phone and connected the aux and played her playlist as they drove off to the venue. They arrived just in time before the event was about to start. Paige looked around the jam packed room trying to find her favorite dark haired girl. She wasn't able to see her earlier because she was in Canada for a few days and just arrived a couple of hours ago for the charity event.

Turning around the corner with Kk trailing behind her she spotted Ice, Aubrey and Janna already taking pictures with some of the people who attended but still no sign of the pretty dark skinned girl she was looking for. Pulling out her phone she click on their messages and started typing a new message when she finally saw her. She was standing at the back of the room talking to an old lady with her back on her. She immediately made her way towards them to say hi. Paige can't help but notice how she looked so pretty in her pink cardigan and jeans. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard her voice as she neared them. It was a common reaction to her whenever Azzi is around. She knows she shouldn't be checking her best friend out but she can't help but admire the 5'11 beauty.

"You're back." She said just in time the old lady went back to her seat leaving her and Azzi alone.

Turning to face her, brown eyes meeting her blue ones and she instantly felt her lips curled into a soft smile. "You look pretty." She softly tugged on her pink cardigan.

Azzi smiled back and to Paige's delight, shows her dimples. "I told you I was gonna be here today." She reminded her. Looking her up and down her smile widened. "You look pretty good too. Is that the one I bought you last Christmas?"

"Yup. I thought it matches the lei I was gonna wear."

Nodding in approval, "Oh yeah I got mine in Pink to match my cardigan too." She pulled out the lei she had in her pocket and put it around her neck. "See I'm all pink."

"I can see that. I missed you." She admitted.

Azzi stopped smiling and looked down for a second before she look up again smirking. "What? it's been like 4 days since I'm gone. Can't get enough of me huh?"
