Trust - is the belief that another person will do what is expected. It brings with it a willingness for one person to become vulnerable to the other person.
Trusting someone is not quite easy for Azzi, growing up she only allows people to be part of her life if they had gained her trust. Many would say she was a shy and reserved kid. When she's on the court she's a different kind of person compared to when she's not playing basketball. She was quiet and doesn't like the attention that most people would love to have.
"So, how was it? Is it as good as other people say it was?" Taylor, her high school teammate and best friend asked as they stood outside her grandparents house playing with her dog Stewie. It's been 48 hours, 45 minutes and 10 seconds since she and Paige had kissed. She tried to do everything she can to avoid her blonde friend that day before she went back home with her parents and until today, she hasn't heard anything back from her. It bothered her so much because Paige usually the one who would call and text her every time they are apart but after that day she hasn't gotten a notification from her. As much as she wants to call or text her because she's not used to not having to talk to her for a whole day, she mustered the strength to stop herself and instead she called Taylor over to keep her mind off of the blonde girl.
The dark skinned girl look up confused, "What do you mean what other people says?"
"I mean having your first kiss."
"Paige is not my first kiss." She told her giving her a pointed look. "I had my first kiss back at 8th grade remember? You and Malu dared me to kiss Jason after we lose on that one game. I still can't believe you let me do that." She cringed remembering the past experience that she was trying really hard to forget.
The taller girl laughed beside her. "Oh yeah I remember that and that's barely a kiss Az." She looked down at her. "I mean your real first kiss, with a girl.""I don't know... I mean she's the first girl who ever kissed me." She shrugged. "I think it was different." Her dimples were showing as she smiled at the memory from the other day. "It's..... sweet."
"So you like it?""Yeah I like it.... a lot." Both of them giggled.
Taylor smirked looking at her. "So you like girls now? I always thought you were kinda fruity. Specially when you and Paige met I knew there was something going on between you two."
