"You are still healing from the things you didn't deserve, and that's okay."

Alexa Sinclair

I was too nervous to call him in the morning.

I expected to see him at school. I would tell him how things went but... he wasn't here.

Until lunch.

Everyone was sitting in the courtyard, when a motorcycle came flying into the road in front of us. And that's where we are now.

Tom got a motorcycle.

"Yo! Sick, when did you get this?" Flint ran up to him, he took his helmet off, going into detail with all of his basketball buddies.

My brother included.

Hesitantly... I swung my bag over my shoulder, and went over to see the bike.

Okay, that's a lie. I want to see Tom.

I smiled, sliding in past two boys to say hi.

"Alexa what are you—?"

I turned to my twin brother. "My friend too, not just yours. You don't get to hog him."

"Fax." Tom nodded.

"She's my favorite Sinclair, he's a lil iffy." He hushed, but I knew Ryder could still hear.

"Is it fun?" I pointed to his bike, he smirked.

"Hop on shorty."

I looked to Ry, with pleading eyes. I'd never been on one of these things, i've only ever been in two vehicles. My dads, and my brothers.

"It's not like my opinion is gonna change anything." Ryder mumbled.

He's right, I don't care.

"That's true." I said in agreement. Tom patted on the spot behind him.

I held my skirt down, attempting to straddle the bike. "Put this on." A helmet launched into my hands, it was heavier than expected.

I didn't argue, adjusting it, so it wouldn't cover my eyes. With uncertainty, I lightly palmed his waist. "Don't get shy now, ion want you getting hurt." Tom tightened my grip around him, my whole front getting attached to his back.

I heard Ryder whispering a string of curse words, but I completely ignored him.

"You good, homegirl?"

I still don't like the way he speaks. "Yeah."

"Aight, don't let go." Was the last warning I got, before it felt like I got launched off into space.

"Tom, let me down." I squeezed the life out of him, feeling myself like a freakin' foot away from the ground! This is not fun.

"Jus ride it out!" He shouted over the sounds of the motorcycle, I giggled.

That's what she said—sorry.

He rounded the entire school, parking it properly in the lot.
