The discussion Hally had with Snape had plagued her mind throughout the coming weeks.

She could hardly even look at professor Lupin without being scared and even made it a point to be the first out of his class so he wouldn't get the inkling to try and strike up a conversation with her.

He was still recovering from his 'illness' which she now knew was from him transforming during the last full moon.

The last time they talked they had agreed on him showing her the patronus charm after the Christmas holidays and he hadn't seemed to even attempt to approach her again since then.

She reckoned he had no clue about her knowledge of his condition so he probably didn't find it necessary to worry about her silent treatment before the start of the holidays.

Still, she felt awful about avoiding him since he had been nothing but kind to her since their initial meeting.

On the other hand though, she didn't want to anger Snape again and she certainly didn't know enough about werewolves to definitively say that she wasn't in danger around her DADA professor. Even when it wasn't a full moon or close to one.

In fact— things had been going quite well with Snape. So much so that Hally really didn't want to rock the boat. She hadn't even brought up the fact that he promised to teach her the charm as well.

Dumbledore had the dementors banned from the grounds after her incident but they were still close by and Hally really didn't want to take the chance of running into them unprepared- for a third time.

Especially now that it was only a week until the start of the Christmas holidays.

There was another trip to Hogsmeade planned that weekend which had everyone- aside from Hally- beaming with excitement.

Both Ron and Hermione had decided to spend the holidays with Hally at Hogwarts— which she was very grateful for. But they still were planning on going to the village to get their Christmas shopping done.

Hally was perturbed over the fact that she wasn't going to get to go with them again. Especially because Ravenclaw had eliminated Hufflepuff in the last quidditch match so Gryffindor was back in the running for the cup. Hally had been stuck practicing on an ancient shooting star broomstick which was very slow and jerky. She desperately needed a new broom.

She was quite depressed. She had already let her team down enough this year. She wished there was a way she could get to Hogsmeade without being detected by the dementors once she was off the grounds.

Typically she would just put on her father's invisibility cloak and sneak out but that wouldn't fool the loathsome creatures. They'd still be able to detect her.

That's how she found herself sulking through the barren corridors of Hogwarts until two familiar voices called her name and halted her in her tracks.

Turning to face them Hally focused her eyes on the orange haired heads of George and Fred Weasley who were crouched behind a humpbacked one-eyed witch statue.
