AUTHOR'S POV :

Nearly two months had passed since Anirudh and Tanya's grand wedding reception, and just a few weeks since the world had stepped into the new year with laughter, hope, and fireworks. But for Ishan, there had been no fresh beginnings only more reasons to stay buried in work.

He had immersed himself so deeply into work that even his own thoughts found no room to breathe. It wasn’t just dedication, it was escape. He didn’t want to give his mind the luxury of wandering, of returning to memories that ached. Each morning began with a visit to the Shiv Mandir, a quiet attempt to center himself, to find a sliver of solace in devotion. From there, he headed straight to the office no detours, no pause. He no longer went home to change or rest; instead, he began carrying spare clothes, choosing the sterility of the office over the intimacy of his home.

For over a month now, Ishan had been arriving almost two hours before the official office timings. The staff noticed, of course, but no one dared to question him. They could sense it , the change in his demeanor, the silent run from his emotions. His silence was sharper than ever, his focus relentless. It was as though staying busy was the only way to stay afloat.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Aadhriti was navigating her own storm. Her world had been chaos lately. She had just returned to India the day before, after an urgent three-day trip to Australia. The crisis had hit fast and hard, one of her employees had betrayed her trust, leaking confidential details of a major business deal to a rival firm. The fallout was immediate, the deal collapsed, and with it, a wave of pressure threatened to crush everything she’d built.

But Aadhriti wasn’t new to challenges. She handled the situation with the same calm fierceness she always carried, efficient, composed, and devastatingly sharp.

Despite her achievements, the world rarely saw her for who she truly was. Siddhanth Kashyap, charming, eloquent, and media-savvy was the face of the company on global platforms. But the real force behind the empire was Aadhriti. She was not just a founder; she was the backbone.

Years ago, she had started the company with her cousin brother, Sidharth Mehra. What had begun as a modest venture to manage her finances without burdening her parents had grown into a global brand. With sheer determination and vision, she had built an empire from the ground up. Today, her company ranked second in the corporate world, an unshakable symbol of ambition and grit.

And still, she remained in the shadows. Silent, strong, unseen. Meanwhile, in a quiet drawing room draped in sunlight, two mothers sat with tea and tradition in their hearts.

Sunaina and Pallavi had always shared a warm bond over all these years, their children’s lives often intertwined, even when their fates weren’t. Now, with a quiet determination in their eyes and hope in their hearts, they were planning a future neither of their children had agreed to yet. They had not spoken to their husbands about it, not until now. But today, they were ready. Ready to open that door, ready to convince, to dream.
