Tanya sighed and put her phone down. She had taken the day off to meet Amar, sensing urgency in his tone. Despite her apprehensions, she decided to face whatever lay ahead.

Her anxiety heightened as Amar's car pulled up. He stepped out with a smile, holding a rose.

"For you," he said, offering the flower. She took it with a forced smile, surprised by the gesture.

"Shall we go?"

"Yeah."

Tanya opened the car door and got in quickly, preventing him from doing the honor. Amar took a deep breath, walked to his side, and started the car.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

"You'll see," he smiled mysteriously. Tanya nodded hesitantly.

She discreetly opened her bag, felt for her pepper spray, and felt a bit reassured. "If he makes any dirty move, he'll see the real Tanya," she thought with a smile.

"Pepper spray, my savior..."

Tanya felt both awkward and angry as they arrived at a romantic spot for couples. She squirmed in her seat, glancing at the affectionate pairs around her.

"Can't they sit quietly?" she muttered, gulping down a glass of water.

"Hey," Amar grinned, sitting across from her.

"Amar, why did you bring me here? Out of all places, you chose this?" she whisper-yelled.

"But Tanya, what's wrong with this place? It's lovely," he argued.

"Lovely my foot... Such a horny place," she thought.

"Sir, ma'am, your order?" the waiter asked politely.

"I'll have hummus and tabbouleh," Amar replied, looking at Tanya.

"I'll have dosa and chutney," she said.

The waiter smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, ma'am, those are unavailable."

"Oh. I'll have a coffee then," she said. The waiter nodded and walked away.

"You could have tried some Arabic cuisine," Amar suggested.

"Next time, I will."

"There's a famous drink, Amar Al Din, and it's amazing. You should try it," Amar insisted.

"I'm not in the mood to drink. Next time," Tanya replied.

"Just try it. I'll order it for you. Hey, waiter!" He clapped his hands, irritating Tanya.

"Yes, sir."

"Bring two glasses of Amar Al Din," Amar ordered.

"Okay, sir."

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Tanya asked directly once the waiter left.

"My brother, Zafar," Amar replied with a sad expression.

Tanya raised an eyebrow. "What about him?"

"Zafar is Zain's father," he said.

"Oh," she feigned surprise.

"Even though he's my brother, I'm ashamed of him. He's a great businessman, but not a good husband or father."

Tanya grew impatient. She knew everything about that bastard, and hearing it again angered her. But she had to listen to avoid revealing her earlier confrontation.

"I found out too late. He's a sinner. What kind of husband sells his wife for a business deal?" Amar's words shocked her.

"What do you mean? He sold his wife?" she asked, genuinely appalled.

"Yes, Tanya. Bhabhi was devastated when she learned Zafar was selling her. That man used her and still does. But my brother doesn't care."

Tanya felt dizzy. She couldn't believe Mumtaz hadn't told her. It was the most shameless thing she'd ever heard. Amar mentally smirked, seeing her reaction. He knew she was falling into his trap.

"Who is that man?" she asked as the waiter brought their orders.

Amar exchanged a look with the waiter, who nodded. "You can go," Amar waved him away.

"Who is that man, Amar?" she asked again, impatiently.

"Tanya, relax. I'll tell you," he said, holding her hand softly. Tanya couldn't react in her tense state.

"He's a famous businessman. There's a party next week at my brother's penthouse. He'll be there, and you can see him," Amar informed. Tanya nodded quietly.

"Now, have this drink." He handed her a glass of Amar Al Din. "I'll be right back." He stood up and walked away.

"Why didn't you tell me, Mumtaz? I would have crushed his balls," she murmured, pulling the glass towards her.

Amar and the waiter watched her closely. The drink was laced with ketamine, a potent sedative.

"Is the room ready?" Amar asked.

"Yes, sir."

Amar handed the waiter a cheque. "This is your payment. Good job."

"Thank you, sir."

"Hey, Amar," a man called from behind.

"Oh, hi James," Amar greeted, engaging in conversation.

Tanya's phone rang just as she was about to drink. "Mumma," she read.

"Hello, Mumma," she excused herself, seeking privacy. Amar didn't notice.

"Tani, how are you?"

"I'm fine, Mumma."

"Beta, there's good news. Tina got the job!" Renuka chirped.

"Wow, that's great! Where is she?"

"She's selected as an executive assistant at Dixit Enterprises. It's a big company. She's at Netra's house; they're having a sleepover," Renuka informed.

"Oh, I'll call and congratulate her, Ma," Tanya said.

After chatting, they hung up. Tanya sighed and returned to her table, distracted by her phone. She accidentally drank Amar's juice.

"Mmm... such a refreshing drink," she muttered, wiping her mouth. "Oh no, I drank his juice. Shit." She quickly swapped the glasses.

"See you later," Amar finished his conversation and returned to Tanya.

"Finished drinking?" he asked.

"Yeah, it was tasty," she said. Amar grinned, pleased.

"I told you," he chuckled, picking up the juice and drinking it.

"Okay, Amar. I'm leaving. Bye."

"Tanya, wait. I... ahhh," he moaned, clutching his head.

"Amar, are you okay?" she asked worriedly.

"I... I feel..." he slurred, his surroundings spinning. He was about to fall, but Tanya caught him.

She helped him sit on a chair. Amar went unconscious. She called the waiter, who rushed over.

"Sir, sir, wake up," the waiter called, patting Amar's back.

"I need to go. Look after him," Tanya said, quickly leaving.

"Ahh... my head," Amar hissed, waking up in bed.

He looked around, astonished. "Where is Tanya?"

The door opened, and the waiter entered.

"Sir, are you okay now?"

"I'm fine. Where is she?" he asked.

"Sir... actually... You..."

"I what?" Amar snapped.

"You drank the juice, sir," the waiter replied fearfully.

"Shit," Amar screamed, clutching his hair in frustration
