Ch.76 Shadow and God

"I didn't expect to see any God visiting me so soon. But it is a pleasurable experience, Izanami." Greeting the beautiful lady, he poured her a nice cup of warm tea.

"Well, I have a lot of time to spare in my free time. So I might as well visit a fellow." Her lips cupped gently as they sat together. The atmosphere was nice, calm and cozy.

"Also, seems like you made some renovations. Both in and outside." Humming, she took a teaspoon and gave herself a bit of honey.

"Indeed I do. Added a mountainous area and I'm gonna expand some caves running around." He slowly started ranting about how he's going to build all around here, she listening to his rant.

From her perspective, he was but a 'child' in God terms. But something was putting curiousity in her head.

As he continued talking, she sipped a bit of her tea. "Hmm. Those are old yet well preserved leaves..." She made a small comment under her nose "I had them bought with some pure gold, since I don't have a time dilation field here yet. Can't really play with time yet." He gave her an answer as she nodded.

Taking her eyes off the tea cup, she looked up at him with curious gaze "Mind if I ask something?"

"Feel free to"

"Why do you still utilise your Mortal vessel?"

Her question actually took back William a bit. He pondered for a moment and looked at her...

"Okay, I understand your question." Looking at Izanami he could now understand why. Her body was completely made out of her Divine Power, while his was simply Flesh. Plus Mana coursing through his veins freely.

"And also, that's a cute ant." She said with a small smile "So you can see them?" He questioned to her this time

"I am a Goddess of Death and Creation, add souls into my Domains and you can paint the whole picture." She casually mentioned it as he drunk a bit of his tea.

"So, first answer. I'm fond of my body, simple. And I use it since it's comfy."

"You simply never tried leaving your body for extended amounts of time, and you are scared?" She said somewhat unsure as she was lost in thoughts, a sudden realisation crept on her spine as she looked "I didn't mean to-"

"I guess you are right."

"Heh?"

She looked confused, as usually a God would instantly find a statement such as this a form of... challenge? Dishonour? Stepping on their pride? There is many words and ways to put it, but simply. It would be seen as stepping on their pride.

While it may had been on bit lighter spectrum if it was between 'friends' or Gods who share a Domain and aren't exactly 'Battle-born'.

"You aren't mad?" She asked confused. "Normally I would, but the Universe is much wider than one would expect. So taking some things with a bit of cooled head from time to time won't do me anything bad. Especially when I'm in my home." He responded to her and stood up, walking over to the small kitchen as he started checking out different tea leaves "Anything you want? I got a small collection by now."

"Do you have a cherry with leaf of mint?"

"I do"

Bringing the tea over with some mint leaves, he set them down in front of her and started preparing things for another tea.

As he was procuring the tea, a massive shadow knight materialised from ground easily towering over both of them. As it quickly knelt in front of William.
