Let's just say looking after 4 children isn't their forte.
Will and Rachel's once pristine couch had now had paint splashed over it and the house was nothing short of chaotic.
It was hard enough balancing their daughters needs, let alone Emma's anxiety and trauma, Madeleine's ongoing recovery and the twins causing all manner of chaos.
"Unca bwaine! Watch dis!" Evan screeched as he dove of the top of the sofa on a freshly clean pile of laundry.
"Ow." Could be heard from the pile, and Blaine had to bite his lip HARD in order to not laugh.
"You alright there buddy?" Blaine called out as he helped Emma out with her homework.
Suddenly a loud cry pierced the room, making Emma dart under the table and start rocking back and forth.
"I'll take that as a no..." Blaine mumbled as he rushed over to Evan and checked him over.
"What hurts?" He asked, checking for cuts and bruises.
"MY LEGGIE! IT HANGIN OFF!" Evan screeched at the top of his lungs.
(No, his leg was not hanging off. In contrast, it had just one tiny pink mark on it where he'd made contact with the laundry basket.)
"Ev, you're okay. Your leg isn't hanging off I promise. It hurts I know but I promise you it isn't hanging off." Blaine soothed him as he hoisted Evan on to his hip.
Emma meanwhile, had been soothed by Kurt who had just walked back in from a trip to the store with Everleigh.
"How Will and Rachel cope with four kids I'll never know." Kurt said aloud as he handed Emma her noise cancelling headphones and a snack, with a promise of 'cookies and milk' before bed.
Blaine nodded in agreement, brushing Evan's foot off the counter as he tried to climb it.
"We're not going to survive the next week, are we?" Blaine whined.
"Nope. Unless it's with copious amounts of Wine." Kurt replied.
"Done." Blaine chuckled.
Beside them, the kids were calm at last for the first time in hours. Emma was listening to an audio book on Kurt's phone, Madeline was having nap and for the first time in WEEKS Evan and Everleigh were both playing nicely together.
No matter what the next week would bring, they knew they'd get through it stronger and more bonded than ever before.
