One day later...

"My sister got a job?" John B asks me surprised.

I let out a small laugh and nod, "yeah, I did."

JJ laughs from beside me, "surprising right?" I jokingly smack his side, "I was just joking."

John B smiles, "I'm proud of you, Ems."

I give him a smile and we continue to talk.

JJ has to leave after a while because he has a shift at the motel.

A little while later, there is a knock on the door.

Sarah walks in, her dad following her.

"Hey," John B smiles at her.

"Hey, guys." She says to all of us.

I give Sarah and Ward a confused look, "what's going on?"

Sarah grins, "you are really going to like what you hear," she tells us.

I sit up in my seat as Ward steps in front of Sarah.

"I talked to you're guys' social worker and I told her that I will take the two of you in." Ward tells us.

I look at John B and he has the same look of surprise on his face as me.

"What?" I say.

Ward lets out a small laugh, "you guys are going to come and live with us for a while. At least until John B turns eighteen and the two of you can move out."

I can't help but gawk at what I am being told, "are you serious?" I ask.

Ward nods, "yep."

"Thank you, Ward." John B tells him.

Ward nods then him and Sarah leave the room, leaving me and John B alone.

I whisper to John B, "we are gonna be kooks."
