"Junie... wake up Junes." JJ whispers to me.

I feel a hand scratching my back as I blink my eyes open. I adjust to the light and see JJ sitting next to me.

I stretch my body and grin at him, "hi," I tell him in my groggy morning voice.

He grins at me, "hi," he tells me before leaning down and kissing me on the cheek. "There's some food for breakfast," he tells me as I sit up.

I nod, "what is there?"

"John B and Pope found some mangos and I caught a couple fish." He tells me.

I look over at the fireplace and see everyone sitting around it. I feel a warm feeling in my heart knowing that this is my new life.

Me and JJ go and take a seat around the fire with everyone else and when we all finish eating, we talk about what we are gonna do today.

"We should make somewhere cleaner to make food," Kiara tells us.

"Can we make boards so we can surf?" I ask them.

JJ nods his head, "please? Those waves look so good."

John B speaks, "let's all help with the cooking station so it goes by faster, then we can all make our own boards."

We all agree then break up into groups.

Me, Kiara, and Sarah are in charge of putting together the cooking station while the boys find stuff to build it with.

"I can't believe John B got married," I tell the two girls, "when we were younger, he always swore that he would never get married. He never stopped saying that until freshman year."

Sarah laughs, "I've always had my life planned out for me. I would go to school, get a job, then after I got married, I would quit my job and have kids and take care of them and my husband... As much as I liked the idea of having kids and a husband, I wanted to be able to have my own job." She tells us, "John B is perfect because he doesn't expect me to quit doing something I love just to take care of him."

I smile at her then look at Kiara, "what about you, Kie? How are you and Pope doing?"

Kiara's cheeks instantly turn red and I continue, "what have you been keeping from us?"

Kiara is reluctant to tell us at first but after some simple persuading, she tells us, "we had sex."

"Shut the fuck up!" I yell at Kiara.
"You're kidding!" Sarah says.

"I'm serious..." she tells us then her and Sarah both turn and look at me with creepy smiles on their faces.

"What?" I ask as I laugh.

"Have you and JJ..."

I shake my head, "we haven't... we almost did, but I didn't think it was the right time to do it and I want my first time with JJ to be special, not just some hookup."

Sarah and Kiara agree with me then I continue, "JJ's just so sweet. I love him more than anything."

"Love who more than anything?" I hear JJ ask from behind me.

I turn around to see JJ, John B, and Pope all walking towards us.

I shrug, "you know, Jesus."

Pope laughs, "would Jesus happen to go by JJ?"

I shrug again with a smile, "maybe." I say as JJ steps next to me.

He wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls me to his side then he kisses me on the cheek.

"Okay, lovebirds." John B tells us, making JJ flip him off, "we should have enough stuff to finish the cooking station so we can all make some boards and get out on the water."

We all cheer and get to work on putting the cooking station together.

When we are finished, we all make our own boards.

We all work hard on our boards to make sure they will work well, but JJ rushes so he can get out on the water.

When he is finished with his flimsy wooden board, he runs out to the water and we all make bets on how long he will last.

I win the bet when JJ wipes out and his board breaks after ten minutes...
