Lost and Found (Reader x Various)

It all happened so fast.

The vacant landscape entered your sight - empty grasslands and trees extending beyond uncharted terrains. When you turned around, everyone else was gone. 

And you were sure of one thing: they were already going back.

Getting lost during your first expedition, you hid inside a tree hole and stayed there until the titans were gone.

It wasn't a surprise. Out of all the graduates, you were the weakest. You had no real strength or any redeeming skills that would keep you in the Survey Corps but you still joined.

It had been your dream as a child to join the Survey Corps, but your parents were opposed to it. After all, you weren't the strongest kid in town. You were always the last in everything.

You sat with your knees to your chest, crying horribly.

You lost your horse while you were running away from a five-meter class titan. You faintly remembered him hacking away at the titan's neck as it was chasing you, but everything didn't go well because the titan fell on you and your horse as you were running away.

Everyone probably thought you were dead. They saw how your horse got crushed under that titan. Your foot was sprained but you were still alive, and the titans wouldn't find you here. Not for long.

A few more days and you'd be dead with the injury you suffered. You couldn't walk around and look for food because you were sure the titans would be waiting for you. It was cramped inside the hole and you couldn't stretch your knees. You were dying to go out but that would mean death for you.

Either way, it didn't matter.

Someone so weak didn't deserve to be in the Survey Corps.

Night was falling. The surroundings were getting dark, the air getting colder, so you hugged yourself hoping you could sleep the night away safe and sound. 

But what good would that do to you? 

You were as good as dead outside of the walls.

As your final moments greeted you, everything from day one came back and greeted you like an old friend.

It was over.
