"I now pronounce you man and wife! Long live the Queen!", the officiant declared over James and Jalid as they leaned towards one another and enraptured their blue lips in a loving kiss.

Cheers erupted throughout the large festive hall, completely decked out for a wedding that was, this time, very succesful and un-crashed. Soft minuscule flecks of snow mixed with glitter and confetti fell from the grand ceiling, landing atop the happy couple.

"Get a room!", you called out, receiving a harsh snowflake on the forehead as Jalid grinned through the deep kiss.

At last, they broke free and the look of pure joy on their face made it all worth it. They bore the very gaze of devotion. Loki grinned whilst clapping proudly for his sister, more than glad. The couple made their way back down the aisle as you conjured a rain of glittering icicles to continue above their heads, seeming an endless trickle of gems over them.

The rest of the evening was splendid and brimmed to the very top with mad reveling and bantering. Everything was splendidly decorated and incredibly well chosen, from the frost roses to the piping on the desserts to the soft satin of her gown. It seemed taken out of a fairy-tale, fit for royalty amongst the gods. Jalid danced her heart out on the floor, and by some dark magic, the crown ceremoniously placed on her large silky waves of black hair hadn't moved at all during her crazed evening.

Your fiancé, clad in his polished armour bowed regally in front of you and offered his arm courteously whilst asking with a grin, "My lady, may I have this dance?"

The answer came instantly to you as in return, you offered your gloved hand. He kissed softly the knuckles, a proud smile as he looked at the new ring on your finger. "Of course you may Loki."

His hands placed themselves autonomously on your waist and shoulders from many parties and many nights dancing under the stars or in pyjamas during a makeshift ball in your room, which often ended in a fit of hysterics.

The long dark green silken dress pooled and shimmered at your feet, almost floating above the marble floor as he twirled you round. His eyes were solely on you, pearly smile shining under twinkling crystal chandeliers. The dance was so effortless yet so entrancing. It was you and him to the heartbeat of the instruments. Nothing else, no-one else.

At the end, Loki dipped you down, arms on the small of your back as his curls hung above your head. His lips met yours whilst lifting you back up, spinning you around with one arm. You cupped his cheeks gladly. Everything felt feather-like and perfect in this pretty ballroom.

A kiss on both cheeks as ultimately you parted with Loki's sister, her eyes slightly glossed over. To be honest, she too felt like a sibling to you and would forever own a space in your heart. You and Loki clasp your hands as bright light surrounds you, sending you back to Earth.

You landed near a small rural town somewhere in America. Loki hisses as his Jotun form swiftly retracts from the hot wind brimming with sand that hits you on the face. Hopefully, you wouldn't be recognised here, as the signal and news were hard to reach. It took about fifteen minutes on foot to reach the outskirts of the town; you and Loki walking on the sides of old, run-down concrete roads. Grass had started to dry up at the edges and golden crops stretched as far as one could see, swaying in the hot breath of the wind.

At last, the large metal sign announcing the town and population came into view, making you sigh in relief.

It was a very peaceful town with small bricked homes, neat lanes and cosy corner shops. When you arrived, on your left was a large market bustling with early risers to get the best deals. Fishes' scales glittered under the sun, bathing in ice chips; bright fruits and vegetables pushed each other on the rickety wooden stalls; pots of honey seemed liquid gold stacked one on top of the other with large wax candles on the side; pots and trinkets were sold as people shouted prices around the bricked plaza. Nearing the other edge of town was a motel where both of you checked in as the Hiddlestons, avoiding the use of real names and paying solely in crisp bank notes.
