"Soo you guys really don't have Deliveroo then?", Tony asked, shifting from the heels to the front of his toes. All of them were staring out at the countryside from one of the garden balconies held against sturdy rock yet hanging from over quite a few feet.
Vines twisted and spillared around the carved marble pillars and handrails, producing ivy hearts here and there. Blooms as big as hands sprouted in neat rows on the sides of the walls and hanging planters, covering the space in a dizzying fragance of flowers and an array of colours.
The air had the warmth of a summer's day, yet cooled down considerably by the afternoon melting into early evening.
"No," Thor replied, currently picking at the leaves growing on the winding vines and draping planter pots scattered on the pillars and white rock handrails.
Tony tried his luck again, "Uber Eats?" , whilst moving his phone around to try and catch even a bar of cell reception. However, he could keep looking before it was purely inexistant here.
He grunted and plugged in an extended antenna into his thin mobile device. Steve just sighed with a distant smile. In that moment, he was thinking about Peggy, about how he wanted to pluck every single flower from the land of the gods and make it into the largest bouquet he ever could.
Loki sighed, reading a scroll, "No."
Bucky was settled near him, lying on his back on the stone bench, gazing up at the gradually coloured sky of the sunset. The entirety of the alcove above was tainted a pale yet fiery shade of setting pink, growing darker and redder as it approached the south.
A small white cat padded carefully near the half awake soldier. Its paws barely made any sound on the warmed blond bricks underfoot. After sniffing his dangling arm with a wary interest, it bounded up on the bench before settling on Bucky's stomach. The cat curled its tail around its body before nuzzling comfortably.
Bucky lifted his arm and placed it gently on the feline, with a half dazed smile.
Tony groaned in irritation and stowed his antenna away again. "Just Eat?"
"I'm hungry," Clint replied, thinking of it as an indication they were going to actually go gorge on food, like after every mission.
"Still not, man of iron."
"God, how do you even get a decent shawarma in this place?"
Loki deadpanned, "We don't."
The billionaire rolled his eyes to the moon in surprise before rubbing his goatee several times.
"Next thing you'll tell me that you guys grew up without candy."
"Of course we did."
"We had nuts, seeds, fruits...", Loki enumerated. He conjured another book, this time of Norse poetry, and flicked the page with a nonchalant care, the other hand holding up his head.
Bits of his raven hair drooped down, glinting in the setting sun and casting discrete waving shadows on the stone below. His eyes were narrowed in focus on the words musically arranged on the paper.
They left the lyrical pages occasionally to steal looks at you, at the colour casted on your s/c skin from the painting-like sunset to the ways your fingers drummed against your thigh and at your relaxed and softened features easing out worry from him.
"No wonder you attempted world domination, Reindeer Games. Still, kind of stupid to throw a tantrum because Haribos aren't on Ass-guard," Tony remarqued. Both Thor and Loki tensed at his openly crude calling of their homeland.
