You let yourself fall back into the couch, crashing into the comfy seats and cushy pillows scattered on it. The team's original concern for your impromptu fall was hastily relieved as you flashed a wobbly thumbs up from your lying position.

Every single part of you was drained from the inside out. You had been realm-hopping, fighting, killing a monarch, finding out hard truths, fighting, engaged and let's not forget fighting once more. Too many things had weaved themselves into your previously placid life and disrupted its course.

You sighed loudly. "Well if Asgard awaits already, I'm sure it won't kill it to wait for me a little longer in order to eat and have a good night's sleep.", you grumbled from your spot on the sofa, whilst staring blankly at the perfectly smooth panelled ceiling above as if contemplating life choices.

Thor winced in an unsure tone, "Well..."

Clenching your abs, you lifted your head back up and informed them, "No, no, that wasn't a question. We'll leave tomorrow, at lunch."

"At dawn.",  the thunderous god insisted.

After a sharp exhale and some angry mumbling, you pried yourself from the comfy depths of the couch to face him. You hissed, "Are you trying to kill me right now, Thor?" The god widened his eyes, proving that the idea had never dared to cross his mind and shook his head incredibly quickly. A satisfied hum left your lips. "Thought so. Good night!"

"It's barely seven pm, Y/n!", some of them called out to your retreating shape.

You swiftly spun around with narrowed eyes, staring each of them down."Exactly. I've been up and down running through realms and allsorts and have way too much to process, so let me sleep.", you ordered calmly. The key word being calmly of course.

No-one replied anything to that.

Warmth and a sense of security shrouded you as soon as you passed the familiar threshold of the bedroom. Every single item and piece of furniture had remained undisturbed as well as unmoved since your hasty departure to save Loki.

Numerous novels and books were still piled upon the sleek nightstand, their strong spines facing the bed. All these were works you had promised to read and added endlessly to your reading list, only to buy a fresh one at a bookstore and ignore the previously thought out list.

The bed adjacent to the crowded nightstand had its silken white sheets tucked in neatly on the sides with the patterned quilts and eiderdowns spread out smoothly over those. For some peculiar reason, the thought of leaving your bed undone seemed aberrant to existence.

Leaving books scattered everywhere? Sure.

Shoving your clean but unfolded clothes with the thought 'I'll fold them later' at the back of the wardrobe? That was fine.

Having a messy desk? Normal right?

But God forbid you did not do the bed. It was a habit nothing would shake out of you, neither by force nor bribe.

After having accomplished each of the tasks necessary for returning from a long voyage, you ungracefully hurled your weary body onto the plush mattress without a second thought, as sleep came too easy.

When you finally sink into the blurry waters of sleep, it is unusual. Nothing happens like it should. It is as if a black void was cloaking you and streams of energy fill every receptive fiber in your being.

You were lying in a large stretch of black undisturbed sea, all alone and in a completely silent world. Some sounds reach you but they are so faint, they melt away and disappear. It is a sea of silence and ocean of repose.
