Thunder rumbled spiritedly and resonantly, accompanied by frequent pouring showers of rain in all of New York for days on end. No weatherman could neither predict nor explain this unknown phenomenon plaguing the great city for what would be one or two weeks now.

The Avengers could though.

Ever since Thor had learnt of your return on Earth, he had been restless and worried. His duty was to keep a close eye on his brother and you, but now both of you had vanished without a trace. He didn't know where on Earth you could be and that meant he kept looking and looking in a very stormy mood.

Tony's keyboard clicked and clacked as he worked on, nursing a headache and nearing the time for his third cup of coffee. Whilst Steve went to get some decent lunch for them, all the Avengers stayed bolted in with diverse occupations yet equal levels of boredom. The large downpours of rain slammed against the clear windows before trickling down in continued torrents.

After a particularly loud thunderclap, Tony slammed his laptop shut and shouted at the worried god, "Hey Elsa? Can we get some nice weather over here? I'm tired of this thunderstorm nonsense."

Thor lifted his head covered in blonde ropes. The usual sunshine over his face had left in its stead dark, dark skies crawling into every corner of him. Now, everything worried or irritated him which obviously resulted in unforgiving storms racking the region he was staying in.

"I need to find my brother and Lady Y/n.", Thor muttered for the fiftieth time with a flip of his hammer.

Tony massaged his temples and groaned. The electro-magnetic headache had amplified at the mention of their names.

He stood up and headed towards the kitchen to take another cup of dark coffee. At this point, he was living off these beans. Tony took a particularly large sip of the lukewarm liquid, shuddering and recoiling at the feeling. He exhaled, "Can't be that hard to find, no?"

"You underestimate both of them, man of iron."

At that exact time, the elevator chimed. Sam, Bucky, Tony, Thor, Pietro and Wanda immediately turned their heads in its direction, hoping for it to be Steve with the much awaited food.

Instead they are doused and faced by an ice cold you and glaring Loki.

"See! There they are.", Tony gestured as he went back to typing. Until a millisecond later he froze and lifted his head once more, in realisation. He cleared his throat,  "FRIDAY, tell the Avengers we may have an emergency in the living room."

The pair of you sauntered in with the darkest of looks the world could arbour, expressing all your words could potentially not be able to say. Their eyes ogled the large sleek sheath with an embedded emerald hanging at your belt, betraying the sharp sword hiding inside.

"Hi Tony, miss me?"

"It appears Miss Y/n has returned, along with Loki.", F.R.I.D.A.Y finally announced, perhaps a little late.

"No shit F.R.I.D.A.Y.", Tony replied, keeping his focus unaverted, "Y/n, listen-"

You cut him off sharply, "As you can see, I'm absolutely fine and so is Loki." The god in question had eyes who threatened to set the world on fire at a single misstep from any of them.  "Now, on another note, I've gone through some records and bits of old history. Well let's just say that reading my family file was... educational."

The lift rung again, deeming it time for another well-chosen interruption.

This time, it was Steve carrying heavy greasy bags filled with scented shawarmas, fries and other food stuffs he picked up at Tony's favourite joint a couple of blocks down. Despite the heavy showers of unforgiving rain and his choice to go by foot, he was surprisingly dry as were the precious goods he carried.
