Targon squeezed my hand and looked at my grandmother, who was watching us with worried eyes that were filled with tears. "Let's go back to her new home, Andromeda," he said with a small hum in his voice, tucking his head closer to his chest. "I believe that it is time."

My grandmother nodded but didn't create a portal for us to leave wherever we were.

Instead, she held out her arms toward me, silently asking for a hug, and I held back an eye roll but did what she wanted by letting go of Targon's hand and walking over to her. She wrapped her arms around me and placed a small kiss on my cheek while I hugged her back. "My beautiful girl," she said with a small whisper in her voice while she placed another kiss on my cheek. "My beautiful, sweet, strong girl."

My heart grew slightly warm, and I closed my eyes and pulled her closer to me. "Yana," I croaked out and closed my eyes tighter while I bit back a small sigh. "Can you bring me back to the packhouse, now, please?" I asked, even though I didn't pull away from her because I didn't want to end the hug so soon.

My grandmother chuckled and pulled away from me, nodding. "Of course, my dear girl," she said with a small sigh in her face. She released me from around the waist and placed her hands on my cheeks, patting them before she cleared her throat and took a step back, growing serious.

Targon moved closer to my side while my grandmother started to mutter something under her breath, and her eyes turned a different color and grew brighter. He stood at my side with his hands behind his back, and I glanced at him from the corner of my eye before I turned my attention back to my grandmother.

Golden magic appeared from her hands, and she slowly started to move her hands around in circles, and I couldn't help but watch her with a great curiosity because it had been a while since I had seen her use her magic like this, especially since the last time she had done this, I was growling and in pain.

Was she able to make a portal back to my actual home..?

Deep longing filled my body when that thought crossed my mind, and I couldn't help but want to ask my grandmother to do that instead of going back to this new home where I had a mate that was waiting for me.

However, with a single look and a nudge from Targon, I did not ask her and waited for my grandmother to finish creating the portal back to my new house. He tucked his head closer to his chest while he stared at me, his eyes a little darker and filled with pain and longing.

"Soon," he said with a small promise in his voice while he pressed his lips into a thinner line.

Slowly a small smile appeared on his face while he stared at me, but his eyes were still dark and filled with pain and longing, and I knew that he was longing for the day we could go back to our home and never have to leave. "However, you have to learn about yourself and your role again before we go back there. Ok?"

I pressed my lips into a thin line and didn't say a word while I looked at my grandmother again with my heart aching, even though I knew that he was right.

I wasn't ready...

My grandmother finished making the portal and offered me a tight smile while she looked at me, her eyes turning back to their normal color. "Are you ready to go back, my dear?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

I bit back a small sigh and slowly nodded, even though I was not ready to go back there, especially since I was still mad at Frederick for saying that he did not need a bodyguard against the Draconians.

He was going to need them more than me...

"Hmph." My grandmother gave us a wry smile before she walked over to me again. She tapped my cheek, and I bit the inside of my lip while I stared at her, not knowing what she was thinking or what she was going to do. "He's going to understand in time that he is going to need help, my dear," she said softly. "You both will be protected from them, ok?"

I bit back a small sigh and slowly nodded, knowing that what she said was true.

I was also going to need to be protected until I could fully protect myself against them...

"Ok," I said before I cleared my throat and shifted on my feet. "Can we go ahead and see what's going on with the pack? I think Frederick is still worried about me, and we have been gone for such a long time that I think he is about to panic."

My grandmother bit back a small chuckle and slowly nodded, growing serious. "The time is different between here and there," she said. "It has been a couple of hours here, but it has only been about thirty minutes from the time we left there."

I cocked my head while I stared at her, confused. "So where are we?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "I thought we were on Earth."

My grandmother chuckled and slowly nodded. "Oh, we are still on Earth, my dear," she said, "but we are in a different dimension."

I hesitated before I slowly nodded, furrowing my brows while I cocked my head and studied her. "Are we o-"

"Unfortunately not," my grandmother said with a shake of her head, interrupting me. "We are not at the home of the dragons." She smiled sadly and tapped my nose, and I wrinkled my nose and pursed my lips in annoyance while I jerked my head back and away from her.

My grandmother chuckled and tucked her head closer to her chest, letting her hand fall back to her side. "We will go back there in due time, ok?"

I bit back a small sigh of annoyance and slowly nodded, relenting without another fight because I knew that I wouldn't win. "Ok," I said, letting her hear the disgruntlement and annoyance in my voice.

My grandmother smiled and nodded, biting back a small chuckle while she cleared her throat and grew serious. "Now, come," she said and gestured toward the portal. "It's time for us to leave this place and get back to the real world, and I will be right by your side no matter what. I promise."
