I looked at my phone and pursed my lips when I saw that thirty minutes had passed by, and Frederick hadn't shown up yet. "Come on," I muttered under my breath and moved a hand through my hair. There was a small sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, and I felt as if something bad had happened to him. "Where are you?"

"Miss Greene?" the teacher asked from the front of the building. Ms. Lowell walked over to me, and I could see the concern in her eyes, which I wasn't used to from strangers. "Are you alright? Where is your ride?"

I shook my head. "I don't know," I replied. I bit my lip and cleared my throat. "I think something bad had happened to him," I admitted, looking at my teacher. "I don't know what happened, but I think that something bad did happen."

Dread filled my body when a stray thought entered my head. Would they hurt him? Could they hurt an Alpha?

Probably, especially since he carried my scent, even if he couldn't smell it. He carried a trace of me, and I knew that they would be doing whatever to get to me for whatever reason.

They wanted me dead, and they would use any means to kill me, even if it meant going up against an Alpha of a pack.

"Have you tried calling him?" Ms. Lowell asked, and I nodded my head. "And no answer?"

I shook my head. "No, Ma'am," I replied. "There was no answer when I called him."

She nodded, and her eyes glazed over while she contacted someone. After a few minutes, she blinked and cleared her throat, and her eyes became focused again. "Then, I can take you home," she said. Worry filled her eyes, and I had a feeling that she had contacted one of her pack members to see if they knew anything.

I shook my head again. "No," I said. "Does anyone know where he is at? He's in grave danger, especially if no one has had any contact with him. I have a bad feeling that I know what attacked him if something attacked him."

Ms. Lowell's body grew tense, and she stared at me with something in her eyes. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice filled with warning. The Werewolf took a deep breath, trying to pick up a scent on me, but like Frederick, she couldn't because of the spray that I had used.

I shook my head. "You won't be able to smell anything even if you tried," I said. I licked my lips and cleared my throat. "I'll explain some stuff, but I need to know where Frederick is. Please. It is a matter of life or death with him, and I know that you don't want him to die."

Ms. Lowell sighed and nodded, knowing that what I was saying was true. She gestured for me to follow her to her car, and she started to walk that way with me following. "I don't know," she said honestly. "All I know was that he was checking the border because there had been strange sightings of creatures that we know nothing about."

"Do you know what they look like?" I asked. "Has anyone been in contact with them?"

Ms. Lowell shook her head and sighed before she pursed her lips. "I don't know," she replied honestly. "If they had, then they kept quiet about it." She made it to her car and unlocked the door. Her whole body was tense, and I could tell that she started to feel the urgency that I felt.

I slowly nodded. "Contact either Miguel or Antonio," I said. "Ask them. If they don't respond off the bat, tell them that Clover said they could do so. I want to see if they found anything else or seen them again. They'll know what I mean."

"Wait. What do you mean?" Ms. Lowell asked. Her green eyes became filled with worry, and she studied me, trying to find answers that I held. "What do you mean about Antonio? I thought he went to your place when he was partially injured by "some wild creature" that didn't like him, or at least that was what I was told."

I looked at her weirdly before realization dawned on me. "Right, you're Abram's sister," I said. I opened the passenger door and got into the car before I closed it. "I'll explain everything later, but for right now, I think it would be best if we go."

Ms. Lowell frowned and opened the door. She tried to get into the car, but she was stopped by someone pushing her out of the way. Panic filled her face, but she didn't scream like I thought she would. Her whole body grew tense, and again, she took in a deep breath to smell something else, but I knew that it was futile because it didn't have a scent either.

I rolled my eyes and scowled. "Would you let her get in the car," I snapped, knowing full well that Ghost didn't want her to get into the driver seat. "You don't even know how to drive."

The back door to the driver's side opened, and Ms. Lowell took in a startled gasp while she jumped back. Ghost didn't say a word, but I knew full well that it wanted her to get into the back and give it the keys.

"Ghost," I warned. "You don't even know how to drive."

"Ghost?" Ms. Lowell breathed out, finally. "Is that what you said?"

I nodded and pursed my lips. "Yes," I replied. "I have a ghost following me, and its name is Ghost, or at least that's what I call it. Miguel, Abram, and Antiono know about it."

Ms. Lowell bit her lip and nodded. "Ok," she said. She released her keys and got into the car, the keys floating in midair. She moved to the passenger side of the car and put her seatbelt on. "What are you?" she asked.

I watched Ghost get into the driver's side of the car and shut the door before putting on its seatbelt. I rolled my eyes at it and placed mine on before I looked at Ms. Lowell and then turned to look forward because I didn't want to see her reaction. "Don't know," I replied coldly. "Not human."

"Well, I can see that," she muttered when Ghost started the car and zoomed out of the parking lot at full speed, burning some rubber. She grabbed the 'oh shit" bar and the back headrest. Her face grew pale, and she took in a deep breath. "You have a Ghost, who owes me a new set of tires."

I didn't reply and gripped the passenger armrest and the 'oh shit' bar while I closed my eyes and became tense. My stomach stayed in the parking lot, leaving the rest of my body to fend for itself.

Maybe letting Ghost drive was a bad idea...
