Draco Malfoy

My chest hurts as I'm walking mindlessly towards the forest, I came here to meet her. To check up on her, just to find my brother kissing her? Her kissing him.

It hurts more than it did when I had to break up with her, my eyes sting as I blink quickly rubbing my hand over my chest. Why? Why? Why?

I hear footsteps behind him, her calling out my name as she follows me inside the forest. I continue walking, my mind reeling with hurt and betrayal.

I can feel her presence behind me as she follows me into the forest, her voice calling  out my name, pleading with me to stop and listen. But I can't. I can't turn around and face her. I can't look into her eyes and pretend like everything is fine.

I continue walking deeper into the forest, the shadows growing darker, the air growing colder. I don't know where I'm going, but I know I have to get away from her, away from the pain that feels like it's clawing at my chest.

"Draco, please," her voice calls out again, closer this time, her footsteps echoing softly behind me. I feel her hand on my arm, her fingers gripping me tightly, trying to pull me back.

But I shake her off, my body stiffening at her touch, my heart clenching with every beat.

"I can't," I mutter, my voice barely a whisper. "I can't...please...leave me alone"

"No," she says, her voice firm now, her grip tightening on my arm. "I won't leave you alone. Not like this."

My heart clenches in my chest as I hear the resolve in her voice. I can't bear to look at her, but I stop walking, standing still in the darkness of the forest, the only sound the sound of our breathing and the rustling of leaves under our feet

"Please...just listen to me, Draco," she pleads, her voice cracking with emotion.

I turn around finally facing her, my eyes burning, my face hardening as I see her, trying to hold her emotions together.

"Listen to what?" I snap, my voice cold and harsh. "To you explain why you were kissing my brother behind my back?"

Guilt flashes across her face, confirming what I already knew now. She takes a deep breath, closing her eyes for a second as if trying to collect herself.

"Draco...I didn't...I mean, we..." She falters, looking down at the ground.

I let out a humourless laugh, my bitter heart clenching at her attempt to justify herself. "You didn’t mean to kiss him, is that it?" I ask with a sneer, my eyes narrowing. "Or are you going to tell me you tripped and landed on his face?"

She looks up at me then, her gaze meeting mine, her eyes pleading. "We— we didn't plan it— I didn't it just happened"

"How long?" I snap

She swallows hard, her eyes dropping to the ground again. "What do you mean?" she asks, her voice small.

I scoff, feeling the anger boiling inside me. "How long has this been going on? Months? Weeks? Longer?"

Her face pales at my words, the truth and guilt written all over her features. "It's been...a few months," she admits softly.

The admission hits me like a punch to the gut, my heart clenching painfully in my chest. Months. Months. The thought echoes in my mind, the betrayal cutting deeper than I could've ever imagined.

Without a word, I start walking again, this time faster, the anger and hurt fueling my steps.

She follows me, desperately trying to keep up, her voice pleading as she calls out my name. "Draco, wait! Please, just let me explain—"

But I don't wait. I don't want to hear her explanations, her excuses. The pain is too fresh, too raw.
