I'm laying with my head on my mom's lap beside my dad's bed on the couch and my mom is leaning back on the couch, I came here in the hospital just after an hour I read the letter

William, Blaise, Dahlia and Hazel knows about the situation, they wanted to come visit with me too but I told them not now. As for Malfoy I couldn't find him anywhere in the school, he said he'd meet me in class but he wasn't in any class. He wasn't in his room. Pansy and Adrian had no idea where he was. And I didn't had time to wait for him but still I did for an hour. No use.

Turns out my dad's cancer is back, the muggle disease that has no cure neither in the muggle world nor in the wizarding world, last time my mom said—even the doctors said he was healthy again, until few weeks ago.

My dad's sleeping on that hospital bed, he looks so weak.

I see him and it hurts looking at his frail body, a flood of emotions goes through me, he is so weak and sickly looking it makes my heart ache and i have to hold myself to not start crying.

His body is covered by blanket, I see his eyes open he looks at me in a sleepy manner.

Me and my mother Immediately get off the couch walking near the bed.

He flutters his eyes open he smiles weakly looking at me saying 'hi honey' in sign language I could see my mom holding her emotions back as her arm is wrapped around my shoulders rubbing them slowly.

I nod at him quietly fighting back the tears, my eyes are filled with it, when my dad smiles and opens his hands to indicate he wants to pull me closer and I lean forward as my dad pulls me to him slowly.

His hands are ice cold I snuggle up close to his body, hugging his arms as my eyes are glued to him his eyes look tired and exhausted i don't see them full of life nor the sparkle they usually have when he used to be so healthy.

My mom says in sign language 'she came this morning' she tells my dad as I pull away from the hug halfheartedly.

My dad's facial expression immediately changes when my mom signs to him in his language, his facial expression becomes more serious and he looks at me for a while and then he signs to my mom "I want to talk to her alone" and my mom nods her head and walks away.

My heart is racing as I sit on the chair opposite to dad's bed as we are all alone.
At an instance I realize how much I have missed him, his hands are wrapped around mine and I just listen and nod when he occasionally signs to me some words, his voice is croaky and hoarse.

At some moment he squeezes my hand as he wants to tell me something and I look at his eyes and he signs to me 'I know you've read the letter.'

I feel my lips quivering as I want to just start crying but with all of my might I try not to, I don't want my dad to see me cry, I sign to him  “Yes, I have,” I force out the words through the lump in my throat.

he signs to me "Don't be sad sweetheart, this is nothing,"

I look at him and sniffle "I wish I could believe that" I sign and he signs to me again "You can, I'll beat this again, just like last time and I'll be back just like last time."

He makes me lie down beside him as he signs "How's school going?"

I sighed before signing "it's been fine I guess?" I sniffed.
