The Bug

"IM HERE GRANDFATHER"

Hae-min came breezing in wearing a short dress and heels. Her hair was curled and her makeup done perfectly. Suno was attached to her hand as they walked side by side.

"Goodness! Why are you so late Hong Hae-Min?!" her mother gasped loudly. "I had to drop Sowon, your granddaughter off at school" she said. "Someone placed a bug in grandfathers office" Soo-Cheol said.

"Grandfathers office? no one is allowed up there" Hae-min frowned. Suno glared daggers into Da-hye who avoided his eyes at all cost. "Not everyone is an extreme rule follower like you Hae-min" her brother scoffed.

"And that is why not everyone has a nation wide known clothing brand, Soo-Cheol" The woman plopped down on the couch. Her head leaned on Suno's shoulder and his arm around her shoulders.

Suno enveloped her into his embrace. It made Hae-min think about how truly obsessed they were with each other.

"They found something" Soo-cheol informed making the couple get up and go to where everyone was gathered. "Grandfather this is Hyun-woo's office. Surely you don't think he would do anything to harm us right?" she asked.

"Maybe we should open it when he's here" Her father spoke up. "Shut up!" Grandfather yelled as the safe was popped open.

"what the... Why that little prick!" Grandfather grumbled. "Grandfather it's wrong to call him that. Hyun-woo has been good to us! He's a loyal family member of our-" Hae-min was cut off when a document was thrusted into her hands.

DIVORCE SETTLEMENT
signed: Baek Hyun-Woo

She felt the wind be knocked from her chest. Divorce? He wanted to leave the family? Hae-min always thought she and Suno had been good to him. His signature was at the bottom making it truer than Hae-min wanted to believe.

"Maybe....Maybe he just...The heat of the moment! That happens to everyone right?" She peered at her family who looked at her with something of pity.

"You put too much trust into bad people granddaughter" her grandfather said. "But this is hyun-woo! The same man that helped me and suno out with our crying newborn. he's uncle Hyun-woo to my daughter" she said.

"Stop being so naive! He tricked you and probably Hae-in! you need to get a grip Hae-min" Her mother scolded her.

She handed the document over to her father and left the room quickly. For hae-min betrayal ran deep. She was always one to be 100% invested into whatever relationship she had.

Anger seeped through her veins as disappointment did as well. She figured she knew Hyun-woo. Was he only staying for the lavish gifts she splurged on him every once in a while? She then thought about Hae-in and Suno. The two people close to him.

Suno came in and she immediately threw herself into his arms. "I'm so sorry baby" She said as she kissed his cheek. She pulled out her phone dialing hae in.

"Hello?" Hae-in's voice came hollowed. "Hae-in i have something to tell you" Hae-min frowned. "i already know" the line then went dead. Hae-min stared at her phone screen with a frown.

Suno hated the look on his wife's face. It made dred fill his heart. He's only ever seen his wife cry 4 times in the years they've been together. Two were over a movie, When their daughter was born though it was of happiness and the other was over her high school cat that died.

All three times made him feel terrible. The Hae-min he knew and married hadn't stopped smiling seemingly like since she was born. All of her baby pictures seemed to have this warm happy aura in them with her large toothy smiles.

Even photos from her job she has a big smile. Seeing her sad was uncanny. Sometimes his blood boiled for the way her family treated her. Hae-in never accepting or open to her sister's affection, Soo-cheol using her.

Her grandfather and father treating her as a helpless child, her mother's endless ridicule. Regardless she never complained. She still did just about every thing they asked without a hitch of hesitation.

She looked up "maybe he has a reason right? maybe he fell back in love with her and forgot to rip the document up" she said.

He didn't have the heart to tell her to stop trying to see the good in people."You know him best don't you" she looked at him with hopeful eyes. Suno didn't reply just instead gave her a small smile and pulled her back into a hug.

"I love you. You and your kind heart" he began to stroke the back of her head. The two swaying a bit in the hug.
