Nikita POV:
My heart was broken in two when I left the hospital. Manisha Bhabhi gave birth, Dada wouldn't even talk to me. I felt hurt. I know I did hurt them and I deserve this, but it just hurt to see it all in front of me.
I reached home and locked myself in my room, not ready to talk to Esha. When she asked, I just mentioned I saw him and that my past was flashing before my eyes. She understood and let me be.
The next day, I was about to leave for work but I got a call from the doctor that she wanted to see me to explain my medicines. I agreed and called in sick, deciding to work from home.I got ready in my cargo pants and a full sleeve top, with my hair tied in a clip and minimal makeup, and reached the hospital.
I hope they're gone now. I don't think I can see them again. I entered the hospital and reached my doctor. Once I did, she explained the medicines and I thanked her and made my way out. After putting my medicines in my purse, I was about to leave when I bumped into Ruyash Dada.
My eyes widened. Seriously? It's a working day I didn't think they'd be here.
His wife did give birth bro!
Yeah, but still."S..Sir.." I looked down.
I heard him sigh. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to ignore you." He held my chin to make me look at him, "I just.... I wanted to let you know that I answer to Ruyash Dada, not Sir."
I felt tears in my eyes. I missed him saying that. I missed calling him that, but I know his brother hates me and I can't tell them our past.
"I..."
"Nikdu. Come with me. I want you to meet Mani."
"Dada, no." I rambled unknowingly.
Oh shit. Why did I give in? I saw a small smile on come his face.
"Why not?"
"I... I can't. I'm sorry." I said and ran away. I prayed he's not following me. I ran and ran until I turned a corner and bumped into Mayukh. Ugh why is my fate so horrible?!Mayukh POV:
I reached the hospital by around 9am. We didn't go to work today because we wanted to stay with Bhabhi. Bhai was sitting with Bhabhi while I excused myself to go to Dr Rozina. I wanted to know what was going on with Nikita.
"Hello doctor." I said, entering.
"Oh Mr Mayukh. Good Morning. What a beautiful surprise. How can I help you? She asked as I sat.
"I'd like to ask about your patient Nikita, Nikita Joshi."
"Oh Sir, we aren't exactly allowed to give out information."
"She's.... She's my wife. We've been separated for a year and I met her here and it's gotten me alarmed. I have a picture with her for proof." I showed her a picture of Ruyash Bhai's reception night, the picture of Bruno, Nikita and I.
"Oh right. I'll tell you Sir."
"Please."
"So you may or may not be aware but it seems like she had a burn mark above her waist. It seems like an old injury."
"Yes, I had it treated using the Arencia cream."
She nodded, "Yes Sir, so that cream did its job. The mark is entirely gone it's as good as new however that only cured the surface part of it."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that the injury seemed intense, her inner muscle had gotten a bit affected because of it. The cream does help to cure and allow the muscle to self heal however in her case it's not entirely healed, so for the last few months she's been having bad pains in her body, around that area, if that wounded muscle touches nearby muscles."
"Oh."
She's having to go through so much and I didn't even know.
"It's not too late yet. I've given her pills to help speed the process of healing so the muscle is good as new and there's been progress, however due to her lifestyle it's not speeding up."
"Her lifestyle? meaning?"
"She works so she travels to work everyday, which is almost 30 mins of public transport, walking etc, then she lives with a friend so they both have split the work of cleaning and cooking so she's involved there as well. At a time like this, she needs to calm down, that's the best way. If she's able to bed rest or at least just keep the movement to a minimal, that's perfect. No need to necessarily bed rest, keep the muscle active but just minimally. Just basic movement like long walks are fine because the body posture is okay, however the hustle of public transport, then sitting standing inconsistency, that's all damaging for her."
