graduation

Mayukh POV:

A week later, we all got ready to go to Dubai. My graduation is in a week, so we are headed off to Dubai, to get me started in the company.

Currently, we were sitting in the airport. I was playing with my ring. Was she okay? Was she even coming back?

"Relax Mayukh, your wife will come back." Mom teased and sat next to me.
"Mom yaar!" I rolled my eyes smiling and went back to my phone.
"Just message her." Mom said.
"What?"
"Text her. Talk to her."
"She's scared of me."
"What? Why?"
"I don't know."
"Did you do something?"
"No Mom, I don't know. I just, I always want her around because she's scared of everyone and everything."
"She'll come around baby, don't worry." Mom caressed my hand.

We boarded the flight and soon we were in Dubai. We got home and found three bags in the home. I turned around to see her. Nikita.

Nikita POV:

We had reached Dubai and had reached home for my graduation. I got a job in the company I wanted here and got a great package. I decided to take it up and had also encouraged Dad to come and apply again because he is very talented. He took my advice and finally went for an interview. Mom and I were sitting at home. Sid isn't coming back for graduation because he got his job offer in London and has to join, so his degree will be delivered to him later. Esha as well, she got a job in London too and is going to start working there. I felt happy for them because I knew they wanted to find a future together and now they got it.

Mom and I freshened up and I got to cooking lunch while she sat and was reading a book. Suddenly we saw the doors opening and I saw three people walk in. Before I could reach to the door, they entered and my eyes widened seeing him.

Mayukh? How was he here? Shit. Aai Baba are here. 

"Aunty, Uncle?" I stammered, "Hi..."
"Hi bete," Uncle said.
"Sorry, I... I didn't know you guys are coming here. I'll—"
"Nikku, who's it? Is Baba back?"
Oh shit. Aai also had to walk in right now only.
"Nikku, can you hear m—" Aai stopped halfway. I looked at her and she looked confused.
"Aai, umm, this is Mayukh, my uh... my roommate. You spoke on call a few times. These are his parents." I said silently.
Aai smiled, "Oh I'm sorry, Hello. I'm Yamini, Nikita's Mom."
"Hi Aunty." Mayukh said and touched her feet. I looked normal but I was in shock. Aai blessed him and he went back to his parents. I saw Uncle and Aunty introduce themselves and all of them making their way to the sofa.
"Nikku, please make three more cups of chai."
"Oh, Yeah." I said and Aai walked out.

I walked over to the kitchen and continued making chai when I felt footsteps behind me. I turned to see Mayukh leaning against the wall.
"What?" I asked.
He said nothing and came closer. I moved backwards and hit the wall. I saw him coming closer and caging me to the wall.
"How are you, wife?" His hands were slowly circling my waist, before wrapping them around my waist.
"I'm good." I said, looking down.
"Where's our son?"
My eyes popped out. What did he just say?
"Our... our what?"
He chuckled, "Coco, where is he?"
"He... is in the... the hall." I stammered. I still couldn't digest what he said.
"Let me also meet my baby." My eyes continued widening, "Nahi samjhi?"
I shook my head and he continued, "You're his mom now right?" I nodded, "So what does that make me?"
My heart was beating so fast. I looked down and he chuckled.
He came closer and kissed my cheek before leaving me alone in the kitchen with my rapidly beating heart.

I came outside and saw Aai Baba talking to his Mom and Dad. This was a weird sight. They're related to each other but they'll never know. Everyone in this room right now are family, but they'll never now. I gave them their chai and went to my room where I saw Rahul and Mayukh talking. What on earth is this now?

"Nikita, you didn't tell me Rahul is coming!" Mayukh said.
Rahul and Mayukh bonded so well, which scared me. I needed to talk to him about this. I'll move into a hotel.

~The next day~

Author POV:

Both Nikita and Mayukh made their way to their graduation ceremony. They looked proud and so did their families. Mayukh was in a white shirt and black pants while Nikita was adorned in a skin tight off shoulder white dress, both adorned in their graduation robes. After the graduation was over, everyone came home. Nikita was making tea when suddenly they all were called outside.

"Yeah Aai, tell." Nikita asked.
"Listen, your dad and I, and Mayukh's parents are going out. We thought to have a nice dinner. I trust that you Mayukh and Rahul can stay home?"
"Yeah Aai. Okay."
"Wonderful." Mayukh's Mom said.

It was difficult for her to stay normal and act like she wasn't looking at her daughter-in-law. She had loved Nikita since they met and finding out that her son and Nikita are now married as related as family made her delighted, but the fact that she couldn't tell anyone this made her upset.

Everyone got ready and soon they all left, leaving only Rahul, Nikita and Mayukh at home. No one had changed from their graduation outfits because of the rush and hassle. Now, Nikita planned to talk to Mayukh about not getting close to Rahul.

She was entering Rahul's room when she found him standing by the door.

"Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm meeting a few friends bro. I'll be back soon." Rahul replied.
"Excuse me. You're not leaving me alone here, come back inside."
Just then Mayukh came out, seeing these two siblings fighting, and overheard their conversation.
"Didi, I'll be back in a few hours yaar." Rahul argued.
Mayukh chuckled while Nikita glared at him and Rahul with angry eyes.
"I don't care. You're not leaving me alone and going. Go and change."
"Didi he's not going to eat you. Just relax. See you love you!" Rahul teased, walked off and shut the door.

Nikita ran ahead to chase him, only to be stopped by Mayukh who grabbed her waist and pulled her to him.
"Shhh, let him go. He's allowed to chill." Mayukh said.
"No, not right now." She argued.
"Why not? Can't leave you alone with me?" Mayukh flirted, coming closer.
"Shut up."
"Waise, Rahul's wrong."
"See exactly I told you he's—"
"I can't promise I won't eat you." Mayukh smirked, "You're looking delicious."
Nikita shivered as she tried to break free. Mayukh came closer, only to interrupted by Coco's barking. Nikita used that as a way to run and hide. She went away to her room.
