1 YEAR LATER

Nikita POV:

"Let's go! Where are you all?" Aai said loudly as we all entered the hall, "Nikita, it's been so long since I'm calling you. Where were you?"

"Aai, actually. I—" I tried to speak.
"She was with me, Aai." I heard his voice come from behind as he held my waist, "Sorry for delaying your daughter."

"You two! Kids I tell you!" Aai said and smacked me and him on our arms, "Now hurry up. We have to go to Reyansh's birthday and it will not look good that his chacha and chachi are both late, not to mention - acting like Reyansh too."

He chuckled, "we're ready Aai cool." He hugged her and continued, "we're waiting for Baba cool and Kiddo. Where are they?"

"I don't know. You two have lived with us for 2 days and somehow everyone has started to get things done much later than they normally do. Don't know what magic you both do."

"It's not magic Aai! We're not late, you're too early!" I smiled, innocently.
"Yes yes! Now let's go." Aai said as everyone came down and we got into the car.

We drove down to the Chaudary Mansion and parked and got down. The house was decorated fully with a bunch of flowers, lights. As we got inside, we heard a bunch of kids screaming.
Reyansh.

"How long do you guys need?" Mom said, "These two na!"
"I said the same thing to them!" Aai said, "They are the same age as Reyansh."
We chucked.

"Well, they're a newly married couple. This much time is expected." Dada walked out with Mani Bhabhi, Reyansh running around them.

"Niki Chachhhi!" I heard Reyu's voice as he ran and hugged me, reaching my knee.
I bent down and picked him up, "Hi my Batman, how are you? Happy birthday baby!"

I felt a hand on my waist and a whisper in my ear, "Mrs Chaudary, do I need to remind you that the term baby is only for me?"

I chuckled, "Reyu, tell your chachu not to get so jealous for no reason."
"Reyu, tell your chachi that calling someone else baby means that chachi is going to have to make up for it..... in a different way." He smirked.
I turned to him, "Have some shame."
"With you, never!"  He kissed my cheek.
"We are with family! What are you doing?" She said, "Dur hatt."
"Fine, but wait till we get home then!" He gripped my waist, "Especially our room!" He whispered the last part.

Goosebumps.

It's been an over year since our marriage, well our official marriage, and ever since that day, it's been uphill. We decided to go for a honeymoon and went to Dubai - where by the way, we even attended an IPL game, guess who won?
Exactly!

Once we got back, work took over but we have managed to find time and energy for each other. That energy came out a lot at night ;)

But, things were good. I no longer felt scared of the past, because he held my hand through it. He didn't ever let me revisit it again, to the extent where he even removed the fireplace back in our home in UK.
Bad decision, we almost froze during the winter.

Finally, we moved back to India 2 months ago and we live in a penthouse, near to Aai Baba, Mom Dad and Dada Bhabhi. Now, it's been work and love, throughout all the years.

Mayukh POV:

"Do we really need to go?" She whined.
"Yes we do. Now come." I grabbed her hand and we got ready into the car. I switched on the engine and we started driving.
"Why do we need to do this? You only said we don't need to look back at the past."
"Not all pasts are horrible." I said.

We got down and she grabbed my hand, "Why do you wear a slit dress when you know you're not comfortable in it?" I asked her.
"Well, because.... I like them." She said.
"Sure!"

We entered the hall and were greeted with a bunch of familiar faces and of course, new ones. We met our friend group, "wow." She said.

"Oh. My. God." We heard a voice from behind, "don't tell me that you two????"
I turned around, "Hi Rohit."

"Bro! How? How did you two? And why did you wait till a school reunion to tell me this?"He bombarded questions.

I chuckled and hugged her, "Well, it's a long story."
