Pumikit ako nang mariin at tinakpan ng unan ang aking tenga nang marinig ko ang katok mula sa labas. Ilang sunod-sunod pang katok ang narinig ko bago ko nadinig ang boses ng isa sa mga kasambahay.

"Miss, Mae! Tawag na po kayo ni Senyor sa baba para mag umagahan."

I groaned and rolled over in bed. I had been awake since last night, with sleep eluding me. My mind was restless, filled with thoughts of Kuya, my anger, my desire for revenge, and Sonic Studio. 

Argh!!!!

Umopo ako at hinilot ang aking ulo ng kumirot ito. I stood up, grabbed the remote that controlled the curtains, and pressed the button to open both the curtains and windows.

Lumabas ako ng kwarto ng naka ayos na. I am wearing a plain pastel pink blouse paired with a long, silky satin skirt in a beige. I let my hair down, curling it slightly to give it some bounce. I went out of my room and headed downstairs, I made my way directly to the dining room, where Attorney Lark and Lolo were seated, enjoying their breakfast peacefully.

"Good morning, Maelia!" Magandang bati sa akin ni lolo. He was having a pleasant morning.

While I am having the opposite of a pleasant morning.

"Good morning, sir," I murmured, taking a seat beside him at the end of the table, while he sat at the center.

"Right after breakfast, sir."

"Yes, sir."

Marahan siyang tumango at nagpatuloy sa pag inom ng kanyang kape. Dumating ang kasamabahay dala dala ang gamot na hinihingi ko. I dropped my fork and knife, then took the medicine from her hand and drank it.

After breakfast, Attorney Lark and I stepped out together. He was once again dressed in his suit and carrying his briefcase.

"Would you like a ride to Sonic?" he offered.

Umiling ako. "Hindi na po, sir. I would prefer to take my car so that I can head home after the meeting. Medyo hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko."

Tumango siya. "Alright, I'll go ahead."

"Sige po. Mag ingat kayo." Sabi ko at nagtungo narin sa aking kotsye.

I drove towards Sonic Studio, initially feeling the urge to slow down, but considering the importance of being punctual, I decided to accelerate instead to ensure I wouldn't be late.

Looking at my watch while under the Sonic Studio's parking lot. Having the second thoughts. My feet just won't move no matter how many attempts I do. Napatalon ako sa gulat ng makitang tumatawag si lolo. I sighed and opened my car door. It was the only thing that gave me enough motivation to step out of the car.

I answered his call and headed towards the elevator. Pressing the up button, I listened to my lolo on the other end of the line.

"Are you at Sonic already, Mae?"
