(Percy)
Well the good news is we arrived at Camp Half Blood like I wanted.
The bad news is we reappeared twenty meters above the canoe lake, which gave just enough to lament the fact I did not currently have my wings as we promptly fell towards it. Diana meanwhile found enough time to voice her opinion on the matter.
'You fucking Idiooooooo-!' She began just to be cut off by the water.
When the bubbles and disturbance cleared I was face to face with a highly unamused goddess who was looking at me with her arms crossed. I was not sure what annoyed her more at the moment the fall or the silver tail she currently had in place of legs and I noticed that I had also changed from the waist down.
'If I knew how to swim over there with this stupid thing, I would be kicking the crap out of you right now.'
'Then I am glad you don't, it is not as if I planned to appear where we did. It is only the second time I have used shadow travel after all, I am just glad we didn't end up on the other side of the planet.' I said jokingly.
'I wouldn't have a damned tail on the other side of the planet.' She said sarcastically pointing at the offending appendage.
'It isn't that bad, besides it matches your eyes, your clothes well actually just about everything to do with you. It makes you look cute Ariel.' I said teasingly.
'Two things dumb ass, do not call me Ariel or I will castrate you, second watch what the hades you say idiot, anyone can here us down here. I don't want a damned naiad telling all her friends that she saw the pair of us.' She said warningly and I realized I had actually forgot about that part. At least as far as I was aware the lakes nymph was on the far shore near where the canoes were kept.
'Oops may have forgotten about that.'
'Anyway if you think I am stumbling out of this damned lake like this at the moment you have another thing coming, so do what you did back at Atlantis and create a dry area around us.' She demanded well there goes that source of amusement for today. It would have made up for the hours of boredom she had just inflicted on me, though the good news was the water served the purpose of getting rid of all my aches and pains I had worked up.
'You do know you can do that yourself right, you know goddess of Tides.' I said sarcastically.
'I can also unleash a pack of wolves on you. After I pin you to a tree and let the hunters use you as a blunt arrow target.'
'That's just unnecessary.' I said sadly, nevertheless I did as she asked and created a large dry area around us. However unlike in my father's throne room there was others creatures in these waters and I watched in amusement as a fish swam through the side of the 'bubble' only to fall several feet and land on the currently dry lake bed so that I was forced to make a small amount of water rush in and scoop the stranded creature up.
As soon as the water no longer surrounded us, I noticed the pair of us return to our standard limb structure, it was strange to think that I did not actually feel the transformation take place despite the vast difference in anatomy.
'Come on then Seaweed Brain; let's go see if the hunters have killed anyone important.' She said walking towards the nearest side that seemed to show a raising inclination towards the shore and I followed her careful to bring our dry zone with us. As amusing as it would be to suddenly remove it, I could tell I would pay dearly if I did.
Besides if she was suddenly revealed to have a new domain people may have started asking questions. Which would drop me and my dad into a lot of bother with a certain sky god, who I needed to keep sweet at the moment. It would of course eventually make it back to Zeus but while he was ignorant I was not complaining.
