June 14th
OmniscientLinds sighed exhaustedly as she sat in her home office working on a new homicide case but she couldn't focus, the sound of her nieces and nephews running around the house filled her head and looped around in it like a rollercoaster.
Today was her brothers birthday and they planned on throwing him a surprise party which she didn't wanna attend, and ironically neither did the kids. So if you put two and two together..
"Aunt Linds! There's someone at the door!" She heard the voice of one of her nephews, Liam. He was 6 years old and Landon was his father, the other 3 who were teens all belonged to her older sister Jessie.
15, 17, and 18.
"Let them in." Lindsey insisted while standing up from her desk, heading out of the room where Liam was standing. He was all out of breath and slightly sweaty, so Lindsey knew that he was on the patio having the time of his life.
He raced away from her back downstairs, probably going to let in who Linds assumed was Tiana. She met them at the door a few seconds later, smiling as she laid eyes on the woman.
"Ehi, cara mia. I see you've met my nephew, Liam." She introduced the boy who stood before Tiana with curious eyes, she looked between the two, Liam looking like he could be Lindsey's son.
"Yes, I have. Hi, Liam. I'm Tiana, it's nice to meet you." She politely introduced herself to the smaller boy, he smiled brightly before running off to hide behind Lindsey's legs. "Buddy, don't be like that. Speak back.." Lindsey insisted, his cheeks burned red as he shyly waved.
"H-hi." His little voice came out, Tiana smiled softly before glancing at Lindsey. "He's shy?"
"Not even.. I give him 20 minutes tops.. he'll be all over you." The woman shook her head, Liam ran off in the other direction which made Tiana chuckle. Lindsey glanced up at the sound of someone playing on her piano so she reached for Tiana's hand before leading the way to the next room.
"How many times have I told you to stop playing on my piano with your icky teenage fingers.." The woman teased her one and only niece, the girl turned to give Lindsey a playful glare but stopped when she noticed Tiana.
"No way.. is this her?"
"Yes. This is Tiana.."
"I'm Jordan, nice to meet you." The girl held her hand out with this mesmerized expression that had Tiana chuckling inside, she shook her hand nonetheless. "It's nice to meet you too, Jordan."
"Where're your brothers?"
"Outside on the deck—."
"—you should join them." Lindsey told the girl as she grabbed Tiana's hand again, her niece mocking her in response which made her chuckle while she led the way back to the stairs.
"I didn't think you were coming still.." Linds told the woman while making her way upstairs, Tiana following closely behind her hand in hand. "Got boring at home alone, decided to come spend time with you."
