Omniscient
June 19th
SFLindsey sat in her office with her briefcase opened, tons of papers and files sticking out as she stared down at her shoes, debating on whether she wanted to leave tonight or what. She got booked on a case in Vegas, having to go there for a few weeks to help out a friend of hers.
She was still figuring out how to break news to Tiana, the two had dibbled and dabbled between seeing each other since she last spent the night at Lindsey's place. Work becoming busier for Tiana, often leaving her tired and stressed as she fought hard to stay on top of her work.
She had actually reached out to Lindsey first all week, knowing that being an officer had its duties and responsibilities so she didn't expect Lindsey to text her every time. She checked up on the woman whenever she could though, texting her during breaks, taking her lunch, making sure she was staying healthy and taking care of herself outside of work.
Lindsey appreciated it all, this furthering her feelings for Tiana deeper than she could explain. Because unlike anyone else, Tiana cared. She was patient, understanding and she CARED. So Lindsey had no choice but to submit to her ways, doing whatever Tiana asked of her since she did the same in return.
They'd known each other for nearly 3 months now, time seeming as if it was moving slow to them both. It felt longer than 3 months to Lindsey, and Tiana felt the opposite, somewhat shocked at the fact.
Even though she hadn't seen that many relationships in her dating history, only 1. She was unsure on whether they were on the right path or not, being that she wasn't used to relationships. 3 months felt too early, but anything past it felt too long.
But she didn't like to think about it much, because it made her head hurt. It also made her compare what her and her ex had to what her and Lindsey have, two completely different relationships. It wasn't even close.
She didn't know what to expect out of Lindsey, finding the woman like something straight out of a movie or romance movie. Hell, maybe even off Twitter. If you're on the right side.
Lindsey was sweet and charismatic toward her, spoiling, and highly attentive toward her. Lindsey treated her like a queen, like there was no one above her. She'd kissed the ground beneath her feet and shade the sun above her head. 3 months into knowing her, a few weeks into anything serious. Actually only a few days into a titled relationship which fueled Tiana's confusion over the whole situation.
She didn't like to think about those things though. Lindsey was the only thing that mattered to her, and to her, Tiana was by far the only person she adored.
She picked up her phone and squinted her eyes at the brightness level, turning it down before she went and found the woman's contact and FaceTimed her. Tiana picked up on the 2nd ring, her background silent and dark as she stared down at her phone with a scrunched up expression.
"Sorry, did I wake you?"
"Yeah, what's wrong?" Tiana instantly changed the subject, rubbing her eyes open while waiting for a response. "Nothing, I just missed you." Lindsey started off.
"And I called to tell you that I'm leaving for Vegas." She added on, Tiana frowning once again before fixing her eyes on the phone. "When? Why?"
