The weeks blissfully passed by, SJ spending nearly every weekend at Tiana's where he got closer to Linds. He met her nephews and niece as well, they got along pretty good together which Tiana and Lindsey were grateful for.

SJ looked forward to visiting his aunt more than ever now, even considering Lindsey as his auntie as well. He told all of his friends about how he had a rich auntie that could buy their entire families and still have cash leftover.

Once Lindsey heard about it, she did nothing but chuckle at the words. It calmed her nerves inside knowing that at least one of Tiana's family members liked her, and SJ considered her as family.

She was glad to know that she could help him out in any way, mostly financially than anything. She sometimes sent him money so he could eat or go out with his friends whenever he was back home, she bought him video games and a few subscriptions to some online sites. She even went as far as to taking him back to school shopping with her nephews and niece.

Tiana finding this cute but somewhat bothersome, though Linds expressed that she wasn't expecting anything back in return she still felt like she owed the woman a lot. So she did whatever she could for her, and they grew closer than ever every single day.

Each of them learning things about each other that they wouldn't dare tell anyone else. Linds was slowly getting more comfortable with her emotions and body, Tiana being there to comfort her through it all.

Lindsey even talked to her about wanting to quit her job and just leave the city behind, Tiana talking her out of that as well. She knew that deep down the woman wasn't healed from her trauma, which is why she gave Lindsey her all whenever she decided to be vulnerable.

She wanted to show the woman that she now had someone who cared about her and would be drastically affected if she were to go away.

Linds was still somewhat neglectful towards herself but it had slightly gotten better with Tiana by her side. She made sure Linds ate, took care of her body and mental health, and got a reasonable amount of rest at night. She couldn't seem to change Lindsey's work pattern, the woman just loved to work.

She was always in her office at home or at the station, working. And Tiana just couldn't seem to pull her away from it. It was something Lindsey had to want to stop doing willingly, like now. Today was SJ's first football game of the season and he invited Lindsey and Tiana.

He actually only invited Linds, expecting Tiana to come on her own anyway. She didn't mind though, finding their little bond cute. She was sitting in the station catching up on some work while constantly watching the time continuously but still getting her work done.

Carl was in the office with her, asking for advice and some guidance on his case while giving her the rundown of the entire thing. She was packing up her things then, multitasking while listening to his every word.

"So would you come down and interrogate this guy with me?"

"Sorry, P. I have to get to my nephew's game." She declined politely while standing up, grabbing her jacket from the back of the chair. "How about you get Chapman to help out, huh? He's my replacement, right?"
