"Hey.. wake up.. where are your bags?" Lindsey softly asked SJ once he cracked his baggy eyes open. "Hm?" He questioned, glancing around. The woman helped him raise up, her brows furrowing at the sight of the pocket knife underneath him.

She instantly caught on, SJ glancing over at the knife before he looked back at Linds who seemed as if she was envisioning something for another time. "I got bored.. started carving my name into my headboard post." SJ quickly lied, yet he grew curious based off the look in Lindsey's eyes.

She helped him up completely before smoothening the wrinkles out of his shirt. "Get dressed in some warmer clothes, let's go have a good time, okay?"

"Alright." He nodded in return, Linds patting his shoulder with knowing eyes before she turned and left the room. She headed back into the living room and shined her flashlight around the home, seeing Tiana balled up on the couch with her back facing her.

"Hey..." She shook her softly, the woman's shoulder being cold to the touch as if she were dead or something. "November!" Lindsey made sure she was alive and well, checking her pulse before shaking her a little harder. Tiana cracked open her eyes and glanced around quickly.

"Get dressed. The Uber's almost here."

At the airport Linds led the charge through the establishment, searching for their area in the warmer building. They were all bundled up as well, making sure they got dressed well to meet the New York weather once they got off the plane.

Once they found their seats, they all sat in silence and chose to become occupied by something other than each other. SJ couldn't take the tension, his heart still heavy and resentful as he sat in between the two women who hadn't even spared each other a look since they had been around each other.

It tore him a new heart to see the actions, and he didn't know what to say to stop it. Or if he could. And suddenly he felt small and weak again, sitting between his arguing parents who hated each other's guts.

Never once did they get along.. not around him, family, friends, or anybody. He never had a 2 parent household. He never had a healthy relationship with either parent, and at the current moment he felt like he was going down the same path all over again.

He sighed and put his hood over his head, looking at his bruised finger that he pressed the knife into many times. He cursed himself for being so cowardice. Why couldn't he just do it? Nobody would've known, nor would they have cared much.

He was only a burden.

Getting to their hotel Lindsey chose a junior suite at the Grayson Hotel for their stay, getting up to the room she allowed Tiana and SJ to get situated first. She put her things over by the couch and went out onto the balcony, closing herself outside.

She stared down all the stories with a hurting heart, her head full of memories and mistakes. She tried her hardest to focus on her current situation, thinking of how bad she just wanted to say fuck everything and just disappear. She didn't even know why she didn't just do so anyway.
