September 13th
After the first period, Mr. Peterson the principal, asked us to distribute forms to the students. Being always first in line for such tasks, I went and found Alexia there as well.
"Trying to skip class again?" I asked her.
"Look who's talking. Anyway, who actually has classes on the first day?" she replied, as we gathered with the other students.
There were already quite a few of us, so Mr. Peterson only needed two people per class. Alexia and I were assigned to the freshmen class.
"Great, time to meet the new kids" Alexia said slyly.
"Any excuse to meet new people, huh?" I teased her.
"Since the forms were just prepared and the teachers are already in their classrooms, we called you. Distribute them quickly and no chit-chat" Mr. Peterson said sternly.
"Also, everyone needs to return them signed by Thursday" the principal added.
We took the forms and headed to the freshmen class with Alexia.
"Good morning, sorry to interrupt" I said to the teacher inside.
"Good morning, come in. You're here for the forms, right?" the teacher asked with a smile.
"Yes" I replied, and we started handing them out, me from the left side and Alexia from the right, when I heard her voice.
"Which class section is this?"
"A4" a girl answered.
"I'm Alexia" she introduced herself. "Chloe, nice to meet you" the girl said with a smile, and Alexia moved on to the next desks.
"You're making friends already"
"Of course. Who do you think you're talking to?" she said proudly.
We walked a bit further and saw a class next to mine that definitely wasn't for the seniors.
"Is this a freshman or junior class? Why don't they put a sign?" I asked, irritated, just as some juniors passed by and overheard me.
"It's A1, girls" they informed us, and after thanking them, we knocked on the door.
"Good morning! We're here for the forms" Alexia said to Mr. Antony, who taught us composition last year.
"Oh, welcome girls. Come in, come in" the teacher said with a smile.
"Will you be teaching us composition again this year, sir?" she asked, hoping for a positive answer.
"I don't know, girls. If you want me to" he replied with his usual tone.
"Of course, sir" I smiled, when my gaze met a familiar face.
This can't be... It's him...
I looked into his eyes and noticed he was looking at me too. He had black hair and beautiful eyes, although I couldn't make out their color. Despite his sharp gaze on me, I couldn't help but notice how handsome he was.
"Can I ask you something?" I heard his friend's voice next to him. He had light blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Sure" I looked at him, but I felt the dark-haired guy's eyes on me.
"When do we need to return the forms?"
"By Thursday" I answered, and he nodded in agreement, while my eyes met the dark-haired guy's again, the one I had soaked with water in the schoolyard, and then I moved on to the next desk.
