Hanni

Okay, hear me out. I don't have anything against the school's athletes, I just really dislike the jocks, they're so full of themselves and it makes me want to slap every single one of them and crush their ego. They're just such jerks.

But that's just me!

My encounters with them have always been...interesting and a little weird because they suddenly get the hots for me. It's a little uncomfortable.

"Oh, come on! You have to come to the party, your parents are out of town which makes this even more perfect." My cousin Danielle said as she shook me aggressively to try and convince me.

"The jocks are going to be there and they'll probably ruin the part like they did last year." I said and Danielle let out a sigh. "Okay, but that was because the seniors from last year were some really jealous fools." Danielle said. I shook my head at her as we made our way through the hallway.

"Hanni, you're part of the cheer team with me so you kind of have to go since the rest of the girls are going, and since you know...you're cousin is going which is me." Danielle said and I gave her a glance. "Come on! I'm doing everything I can to convince you to go so that you could finally find the love of your life!" I looked at Danielle in disbelief.

"This is no story! It's real life Danielle, and you really want me to get with one of the jocks?" Danielle thought of it for a second and then shook her head. "Okay, but they're not all that bad..." and as soon as Danielle said that, I found myself colliding to someone.

I heard Danielle gasp as the books I was holding fell to the ground. And before I could fall myself, strong arms wrapped around me and held me tightly against them to make sure I didn't fall. Damn you, Danielle! I need to look in front of me at all times because I will end up in these type of situations.

"I got you." I quickly looked up at who was holding me in their very comfortable hold. And my eyes went wide as I froze. Speaking of the devil quite literally, the person holding me was Kim Minji, captain of the girls basketball team.

She gave me a polite smile as she let me go, quickly kneeling down to pick up the books on the floor. "I'm truly sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention." She said as she stood back up with my books neatly organized in her very big hands.

"That was my fault, I was trying to convince her to go to the party, so she wasn't paying much attention. We apologize." I looked over at Kang Haerin, captain of the girls soccer team, or in other words, Minji's cousin.

Okay, maybe not all jocks are the same.

And not all are complete jerks.

"Oh my god, that's crazy, because I was doing the same thing to my cousin here, so I think we're both at fault here." Danielle said clearly throwing little hearts at Haerin. And Haerin could only blush. Is she really flirting with her, right in front of me? Of course miss Danielle fucking Marsh would do such thing.

I grabbed my books that Minji was holding, I looked up at her and her eyes were just soft as they looked back at me. Probably a little curious, of who I am. I'd be surprised if she doesn't, we've done many opening of games for them.

"Let's go, Min. Choi will cut our heads off for being a second late." Haerin said as she tugged Minji's arm, who still didn't look away from me. "Thank you...I meant I'm sorry for bumping in to you!" Minji waved me off as she was practically dragged away by Haerin as they ended up bumping to another pair of girls but running away right after.

I just stood there confused.

"I see that someone...may or may not have..the hots now for the Kim Minji." Danielle said in a teasing manner, I threw her a glare. "I do not have the hots for her!" I whisper yelled but she only shrugged at me. "I don't know, I felt a little zap between you two in that moment. Admit it, you got lost in her brown eyes!" I threw her another glare as this time I grabbed her by the sleeve of her shirt and dragged her to class.

"Says the one who was clearly throwing her arrow at the poor girl." I said and Danielle laughed as I sat her ass down on the seat next to me in class. "Oh, honey. I don't waste time, she's cute! And just so well mannered." What was up with her voice? Ugh! At times I wished I could choke her to death but I can't, I love her too much to do so.

"Yeah, whatever." I said, taking out my supplies for class. "Minji's cute, Hanni." I snapped my head at her and squinted my eyes at her. "What are you trying to get at?" I asked and Danielle shrugged. "I don't know, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to let loose for once...and not be behind a desk with a pile of papers of homework to do." I hated to admit it, but she was right.

Minji was cute, she's like a bear. She seems very intimidating but she's just a big softy that wouldn't hurt anyone. At least if not provoked.

What are you saying, Pham!

Don't listen to Danielle, you can't have any distractions of that kind right now!

"So, are you coming to the party." I looked over at her and realized that she won't stop insisting and asking until I say yes. And what could be so bad about going to the party anyway?

I should let loose more often, I'm a senior now! I should be enjoying this year and not taking years of my life away by stressing over these papers I have to write. I'm one of the top students for a reason.

"You owe me a box of pizza." I said and she let out a groan. "You wanted me to go, so you have to bribe me." I said shrugging. "You're unbelievable, this is so unfair." She whined out as she smacked my arm.

"It's not unfair, it's taking advantage of the situation. You'd do anything for me to go so..." Danielle squinted her eyes at me a she let out a sigh. "Fine! But we're staying until everyone starts to pick up." I furrowed my eyebrows at her. "Hell to the mother fucking no, Danielle. The last time we did that, you couldn't even stand up. You almost got us both in trouble!" I said and she shook her head at me.

"Remember that your parents are out of town." Danielle singsonged. "That doesn't make it any better!" Danielle rolled her eyes at me has she flopped down on her desk. "You're no fun." She said and I shook my head at her.

"I'm just trying to make sure we're both okay, I wouldn't anything happening to you or me." I said and she let out a sigh.

"I guess you're right." She murmured as she sat back up and started to get ready for class. And to cheer her up, why not be a little sassy? Because Danielle is one sassy woman.

"I always am sweetie."
