Asterios looked at his knife, decorated with his family's emblem. It was dripping with the filthy blood of the man he just killed. Asterios stared blankly as blood rushed out of the man's wounds, happy that a nuisance to his Sunshine has been terminated.

Permanently.

Just as his men started rushing to clean up the scene and figure out how they were going to frame the man's disappearance, Asterios' phone beeped. He sighed, cleaned off the knife with a handkerchief, and grabbed his phone from his back pocket.

It was a message from his father.

'Good job, Son. You're free of bounties for the next three weeks.'

He read the message, boring his eyes into the pixels of his screen. Finally, he could focus on building the bridge of your relationship, all over again.

He had mixed feelings about it. He was devastated that you didn't know who he was, and he couldn't be for certain if you even remember Asterios. Nevertheless, he set his mind to be the best version of himself, only for you.

He turned off his phone, looked at his latest victim, and left without another word.

He had to get home, rest and most importantly, think of how he could get closer to you.

_____

You heaved a long sigh as you locked your apartment door, holding some more Indian take out in your arms. To be frank, you were tired from all the shopping.

...Now that's a problem you'd like to have every day.

You carefully slipped out of your heels and dragged your coat to the bathroom, opening the washing machine. You were going home at the peak of rush hour, and the heat from every other passenger made you sweat bullets. You did not want your favorite coat to smell bad.

You unbuttoned your blouse a bit, finally letting your chest rest. You sat down in front of the TV, just as your phone began to emit the familiar sound of your preferred ringtone. You placed the take out down carefully, still piping hot, and grabbed your phone out of your purse that you still had draped around your shoulder.

It was Minnie!

You instantly accepted the FaceTime call.

You were met with Minnie sitting in her chair, phone propped up against her opened laptop, munching on candy. Behind her was a man that she had broken up with, yet they couldn't stay away from each other, sitting on her bed, scrolling on his phone. This is how she usually looks when she calls you. "Hi, Mins'." You laughed as she continued to eat her long gummy worm.

She gulped, and with her mouth still half full, she spoke, "Sho'... How'd it go? Did you die, or shumthin'?" She processed some more candy before focusing her gaze at you. You propped your phone against a big candle that decorated your otherwise bland coffee table.

"I have no idea where you got those rumors from. Achilles is extremely sweet and genero-" Minnie started coughing violently, choking on the last bit of a worm she couldn't digest in time, "You're kidding?! Are you actually crazy?!" She yelled at you, violently slamming her hands down at her desk.

"Listen- He was nothing but kind to me. We went out to buy-"

You got cut off once again, "YOU WENT OUT?!" she yelled at you, and you saw that her ex, whom she appearently gotten back to together with again, jumped up a little, now redirecting his gaze to Minnie's phone.

You could've sworn you saw an evil smirk overtake his features for a split second before resting his face once more.

You didn't pay it closer attention, though you found it weird that he suddenly got interested in your boss.
