This chapter is dedicated to these lovely readers; natssalazar and AssassinationCat!! Thank you so much you two for supporting and reading the book. Thank you all for being patient with my updates! When the school year is over, I'll try to get as much chapters done as possible.

I'm not sure if you can read the entire chapter, because I wrote over 2000 words and wattpad tells me there's only like 2 hundred. I don't know what's going on and why it's happening, because I really want you to read this chapter, so please, let me know if you actually read what I wrote. I'll try to get this fixed.

You stretched your legs after two hours of conversing with Achilles and eating. You were full, and you had so many desserts you could still hallucinate them. Achilles never bothered to stop you or to check the rising bill, he just kept ordering what he though you'd like.

You practically waddled along with Achilles to his car, continuously thanking him for everything, despite him telling you not to. You sat down in the chic car that revved when Achilles unlocked the motor, and strapped in. It was around 3 pm, so you had plenty of time to finish work.

"Let's go back home- to work. I'll send you the office plan once we get there. Is there anything else you'd like to get?" Achilles coughed awkwardly after his mistake, and looked into the rear view mirror to park out of the spot.

"No you bought me enough things for a lifetime!," you chuckled, "I'm absolutely fine, I don't need anything." Achilles nodded, stepping on gas.

"If you say so. Let's stop by a store to stock up our kitchen."

_____

You and Achilles walked into the lobby together with bags filled with groceries. Achilles held most of it, and you held on to a few much smaller bags. He told you he first had to talk to the receptionist, as he had package to be delivered to him, and told you to entertain yourself for a few minutes.

You felt like an undisciplined child being told off by their parents. So, you stood in place, awkwardly looking around. The lobby was quite empty at this hour, so you were more than surprised to hear a make voice speak to you.

"Hello! Are you, perhaps, new here? Never seen you around before." The voice asked, and you turned your head to the side to see a man, most likely a few years older than you. He had messy brown hair and a beard. Freckles covered his face and he had the coldest, most striking blue eyes you've ever seen. He looked quite nice, but you couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable around the taller man standing so close to you.

You shrugged your shoulders and chuckled awkwardly, "Yeah, it is my first day. Is it that easy to tell?" The man chuckled, "Yeah, not many young folks come around here. What swept you to work in our company, beauty?" He winked at you, and you nervously stepped back a bit.

"Well, I need the experience." You tried to keep your answers short and subtle, not wanting to engage in the conversation any longer.

"Ahh, I get it... So, how 'bout we talk some more over some wine tonight?" He winked at you once again, "I could take you over to my place if you'd like, hun." He stepped closer to you, and you clutched the bag handles tighter than ever before.

By now, Asterios caught on to what was happening, and even from far away, he could tell you were uncomfortable. He cut the conversation with the receptionist short, and started walking towards you, just as he heard a man ask you out when you clearly didn't want to.

"I'm taken."

Asterios felt his heart shatter.

You had to lie, you just hoped you could get out of this situation as soon as possible.
