You woke up, however it seems that your warm bed was not ready to let go of your body yet. As your consciousness returned, you realized the reason for why you were still exhausted.

You went to bed a little too late, which was thanks to you and Achilles bonding. Though the recent memory was sweet and cheerful, the exhaustion of the next day's morning faltered your mood.

Despite that, you kicked your feet into your slippers, and stretched before standing up. It was much colder than yesterday, so you hurried to the living room to turn up the thermostat. There was heavy rain outside.

As you were done your morning routine, you turned on the news to touch up on your makeup and finish your hair. You also got yourself a croissant and tea for breakfast. Lightly brushing your nose with a highlighter, you couldn't help but overhear the news reporter.

"Floods expected from 2pm, coming from the west. We want citizens to take necessary precautions, and to be careful. The rain will pick up due to..." You heard. Well, that doesn't sound safe...

You thought to yourself that it probably will just be extremely powerful rain, nothing to worry about... Right?

In the worst case scenario, your apartment was not ground-level, and you were stocked up for a few days. A few free days to catch up on your favorite shows sounds very appealing. You snapped out of your train of thoughts, finished your tea and got up to get your work bag ready. The rain was banging against your windows.

You grabbed the bag, and were about to go over to your closet to find your umbrella, but your phone dinged. You contemplated your options, and decided you had enough time to chat with the unknown sender. You walked back into your living room and picked up your phone that was done charging. To your surprise, the message was from your boss.

"Good morning, miss. I'm sure you've noticed the weather situation, and I would like to ask you to come with me by my car. Please reply as soon as possible."

You smiled at the message. That brooding, intimidating man was really just a cutie patootie who enjoyed drama.

...Exactly your type, to be honest.

You replied by showing gratitude and agreeing to the marvelous idea. Achilles' car was always so warm, and you wouldn't get wet as much as you would if you went to the train station by foot.

He replied in the next few seconds, saying he will be there in thirty minutes. At least you have enough time to watch something while letting Minnie know about how your boss was really just a very shy person.

_____

Achilles smiled softly at the message, excited that he will be able to help you. He noticed the flood warnings, and though he wasn't worried for himself, he was concerned with you getting to work.

The trains could stop, the rain could pick up, you could lose your umbrella... Anything that could ruin your trip to work made Achilles progressively more worried.

He brushed his long hair to a ponytail, just like every time, and put his mask on. He was just excited to see you again.

It brought him comfort, and safety. He could feel happy when you talked about things you liked, and he felt that he was getting to know you again. He didn't eat breakfast, he just got his daily dose of morning coffee, took the keys to a Land Rover, just in case, and walked through the lonely, massive mansion to his garage.

He did not like the mansion. It was way too modern for his taste. He, of course enjoys the gym, his pool and similar, however...

If he had to choose a house, he would pick a cozy cottage in the middle of the woods, painted pink to make you happy with wide windowsills and roof, with flowers and bees everywhere. How wonderful life would be if could spend all of it with you, cuddling while watching your childhood shows...

Distracted by his thoughts of you, which happened everyday, he didn't realize he bumped into the car he wanted to drive. He let out a small grunt of dissatisfaction, but entered nonetheless.

He started the car, and his garage door opened smoothly and quicky. As he began to drive out, he saw his gate open as well. He instantly turned on the windshields, the rain was harsh.

That brought him back to you...

Are you freezing? Or cold? Or perhaps both? He was worried for no reason, but it made him break the speed limit by a little.

_____

"Girl, I told you he was just an introvert who doesn't have many social skills." You argued with the groggy Minnie, who had also just woken up to go to work.

"I'm sorry, I just overheard those rumors and thought of the worst case scenario..." She said, wiping her eyes while apologizing.

You shook your head, "No, you were just worried for me, and I appreciate that. But those rumors are just absolutely taken out of context. He's really strict at himself-"

Minnie cut you off, "Is he strict to you?" Her tone made the question puzzling. You couldn't help if she was worried or angry.

"No, not really... I haven't really done any work, according to myself, but he always says that I've done nore than enough and that I should relax. That's why I ended up in his office, talking for hours while he ate the cupcakes that I made him." You brushed a stray hair strand from your cheek to your ear.

Minnie raised her eyebrows cheekily, "Ooh, someone likes their assistant, huh?~ Does he like you?~" she said in her teasing tone. You laughed dismissively.

"I'm out of his league by a solar system. Though I like him, he's exactly my type, I won't do anything because it's unethical and he's my boss. And his influence could get me fired from any job in no time, and I would rather not ruin my career by liking him."

"What are you even talking about? That guy obviously has a soft spot towards you. Didn't you like cuddle or something? Or was that someone else...?" Emma said, and you could hear Destroyer happily barking at his owner petting him.

"I'm not sure, I don't remember anything like that, either..." There is a chance you huddled close together to get warm, however there is no way you would do as something as intimate as cuddling.

"Either way, I'm happy for you. You've gotta invite me somewhere with that paycheck of yours, babes~." She said, laughing at her own terrible joke.

You shook your head, "Yes, ma'am. Anyway, I've gotta go. Achilles will be here any minute. Bye-bye!"

"He's picking you up-?!" She got cut off by you ending the call, just as you heard a car beep from outside. A message came as well, "I'm outside. Come quick, I don't have the permit to park here for long." You read the message.

You jumped out of your sofa, grabbed your bag, umbrella and your coat and went outside, locking the door.

As you unlocked the main door you could see a masíve Land Rover beep at you again, signifying it was your boss. You smiled at him and rushed over to the passenger seat, and climbed your way up with a heavy sigh.

"Good morning, miss (Name)." He said as his motor revved happily before he quickly parked out. You put your things on your lap, and out of the corner of your eye, you could see Achilles raising the temperature on your seat.

"Good morning, sir! Thanks a lot for picking me up, I don't know how I would've gotten to the train station today." You said as you made yourself comfortable on the big seat.

"No worries. I simply thought about how you must be tired, and I was worried about you getting to work exhausted because of the rain. Have you slept well, at least?" Achilles asked as he smoothly drove into his desired lane.

"As well as I possibly could after annoying you the whole night." You joked, and Achilles chuckled softly as well.

"Not necessarily. I already told you, your way of speaking is very cheerful, and any story that you end up telling is very entertaining. Please continue, girl friend." He joked as well.

"Thank you, I appreciate that more than you can imagine." You said, smiling at the road up ahead, being cozy and warm contrast to the cold and harsh outside world.

Okay, I KNOW it's a short chapter. But my fat ass had to bring myself to at least write something after a month. I hope you enjoyed nonetheless. Bye bye :)
