Thursday came around your door sooner than expected. You woke up early, and dressed. You took extra time curling/straightening your hair and on make-up, hoping to at least visually look professionally.

You were extremely nervous, who wouldn't be? Minney's conversation from a few days ago startled you to say the least, and now you were truly worrying if you made a bad impression on the boss. He didn't sound mad in the elevator, just cold and distant.

A very stereotypical textbook definition of a boss, but as long as you get hired, you could care less.

Though, since you were going to be his personal assistant, you at least hoped to get along with him. Who knows how long he'll keep you in the company.

You smacked your cheek.

You weren't even employed yet, and you're already imagining getting fired. You sipped the last bit of your tea, and went to grab your long coat before exiting.

You walked downstairs, and then straight to the train station, which was around fifteen minutes of walking. You didn't put your headphones in today, mentally revising every point you'd like to come across in the interview.

You did buy your favorite snack to comfort you on the way into the city center, though.

No amount of preparing could calm Asterios' heart. He paced around his mansion, arms crossed over each other with one hand cupping his chin. He's going to officially see and talk to you today.

You could finally see him in his entirety, not just as a blurry figure because of your unshed tears. The receptionist, Rebecca, who was one of the only kind souls in this building, did try to get in a good word for you, despite the fact you'd get hired as soon as physically possible.

"So... How did the interviews go? Have you seen the one that walked in first? She was the sweetest thing! She'd brighten up this dull workplace, don't you think, sir?" She said from her desk, casually sifting through the paperwork Asterios gave her.

'I do think so. I know so.' Asterios thought, "I suppose. As long as she gets the job done. Filter through this, and go home." Asterios ordered with nothing even close representing a smile, though Rebecca silently cheered at the shortened shift.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, sir! I will!" She said and her working pace immediately shot up.

Asterios stopped walking at remembering the encounter. You've already made friends with two of his employees, and you've been there for about two hours. He rubbed his eyes with a soft look.

He was just happy he had you back in his life. He took a deep breath and grabbed a hair tie, putting most of his hair into a low ponytail. His mask, that was complex and designed to the last milimeter for him, sat at his desk. It was completely made for his face, and it covered every spot he needed it to.

His main one, which he ironically used the least amount of time, covered his entire face, with openings for the eyes that were tinted. The mask looked like something a cartoon villain would wear, and he couldn't be more proud. He wore it only around work, or in similar social settings. Whenever there was a meeting, which was, unfortunately, almost every day, he grabbed his full-faced mask, and went there. It wasn't his personal favorite, but since he's seen in it most of the time in and out of work, he's gonna have to suck it up.
