Celestial was in emotional pain at the moment. Rage at her brother, shock at the Wraiths, doubt about herself, and most of all, anxiousness. Had the others in Pandora's Mansion survived? Were any of them seriously injured? She quickly glanced around the room to make sure she was alone before slowly creeping to her backpack. She carefully unzipped it and reached for her notebook, brushing her fingers against the black cover. She checked the room once again, and opened it up, clicking her pen.

She looked at Step 9- Require Pendant of Hope, and crossed it out. Running her fingers through her hair, she let out a moan. If they didn't get the pendant...

She looked all the way down to one of the last steps and pulled out her pen. Step ??- Make it believable that magic source was from pendant. She sighed and clicked her pen, crossing out that step as well and re-writing it.

Step ??- Everyone will know. A flash of anger appeared out of nowhere, and she chucked the notebook to the other side of the room. She collapsed on the bed, her thoughts seeping into her mind.

If they don't retrieve the Pendant, then they won't believe that the magic came from it. I won't be able to have it as a cover up. Everyone will know.

She sat up swiftly, noises catching her attention. A light stomping above her room. The others must be here. She blinked a few times, before bouncing off her bed and quickly kicking her notebook under the bed.

Quickly exiting the room, she silently entered the main deck, eager for news. She had to get information, but at the same time seem completely uninterested. Thankfully, no eyes lingered on her. She saw Nico quickly rush to Hazel, checking up on his half sister. The chestnut skinned girl had a few cuts on her arm, but nothing much.

"How did it go? Are you hurt? Did you get the pendant?" Nico's voice was laced with worry. A flurry of emotions surged through Celestial at the sound of his tone, but she swallowed it down and put on her poker face.

She loved her poker face. It made her emotions seem completely blank, and was able to cover almost anything. Sadness, joy, interest, confusion, anger, you name it. Nobody could interpret her emotions. Hazel gave Nico a saddened look.

"We... we were able to retrieve the Pendant," she started quietly. Doubtfulness sparked in Celestial. She could hear the unspoken but lingering in the air. Nico did as well.

"And...?"

"And... it's empty. There's no magic in it. It's practically just a normal necklace. We don't even know where the magic went..." Hazel's voice cracked with anxiousness. Celestial swiftly spun around, facing the railing of the ship so that no one could see her emotions. What does she mean, the magic is missing?

Her memories flashed back to when she had explored the mansion a few months ago for preparation. The pendant was full of magic back then. Sure, the house was also creepy, but there weren't any Wraiths as well!

She had the urge to rub her moon tattoos, but her stupid handcuffs stoped her yet again. Annoyance flashed on her face before she quickly covered it up and whispered a curse word in German.

She had figured out the hard way how her multilingual powers worked. She knew every language, every translation she would ever need to know. She didn't receive those powers from her divinely parent. Both her parents were mortals, in fact (more on that later).

So how did she become a multilingual?

Good old Hermes.

Hermes was the god of languages, trade, fertility, yada yada, etcetera etcetera. But was Hermes was also the god of was thieves.
