When Celestial woke up, it was late at night. She looked out her window, the stars shining brightly. She could hear Caroline snoring on top of their bunkbed, Audrey murmuring in her mini-bed.
Caroline, Celestial, and Audrey shared one room while Clementine and Jasmine shared another. Sure, it was a bit crammed, but who didn't love cozy?
When I get up the next morning I'll have a lot of explaining to do, she thought grimly, knowing she'd have to tell her sister the truth about her past. It still made her sting, thinking about Nico's heartbroken face as she died. I wish I could fight something. Like monsters. Oh gods, I haven't fought in a long time, she thought mournfully, sitting up from her bed.
But wait.. couldn't she? She could easily slip out of the room through her window. Maybe have a quick run on the rooftops, and if there were any monsters, fight them. She thought about her pact she had made with her sisters to always stay safe.
"We won't fight unless it's necessary, and will always have each others backs," Jasmine said, reaching her hand in the circle. Caroline confidently nodded, sticking her hand in as well. Clementine and Audrey did the same, smiling and adding their hands in the pact. Celestial looked at the circle uncertainly. She was always used to being solo...
After a few moments she gave a small nod and put her hand in as well. On the count of three, they all raised their hands and yelled "Sisters!"
The memory made Celestial smile softly. Just one night wouldn't hurt her, right?
