Mina Myoui sat in her dressing room, the excitement of wrapping up another successful film lingering in the air. The rising actress had captivated audiences with her grace and talent, and her career was soaring to new heights. However, her world came crashing down when her manager, Nayeon, entered with a grim expression.
"Mina, there's something we need to talk about," Nayeon said, her voice low and serious.
Mina frowned, setting aside her makeup brush. "What is it, Nayeon?"
"It's about your marriage," Nayeon began, hesitating.
Mina's heart sank. "What marriage?"
Nayeon sighed, handing her a thick envelope. "Your parents arranged it years ago. The contract was finalized when you were young, and now it's time for you to fulfill it."
Mina stared at the envelope, her hands trembling. "Who am I supposed to marry?"
Nayeon took a deep breath. "Jihyo Park. She's an F1 driver."
Mina's eyes widened in shock. "Jihyo Park? The arrogant, cocky racer?"Nayeon nodded. "Yes, the very same."
Mina felt a wave of anger and helplessness wash over her. "I can't believe this. I've worked so hard for my independence, and now this?"
Nayeon placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I know, Mina. But maybe... maybe there's a way to make this work."
The next day, Mina found herself in a lavish hotel suite, waiting for her soon-to-be wife. She paced, dreading the inevitable confrontation. The door opened, and in walked Jihyo Park, her presence commanding and unmistakably confident.
"Hello, Mina," Jihyo greeted, her voice smooth but edged with a hint of arrogance.
Mina crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "Jihyo."
Jihyo smirked, leaning against the doorframe. "I hear we're getting married."
"Against my will," Mina retorted.
Jihyo's smirk faltered, replaced by a more serious expression. "Look, I didn't ask for this either. But we're stuck with it."
Mina's anger flared. "You don't seem to be taking this seriously. Do you even care about what this means for my life?"
Jihyo stepped closer, her eyes locked onto Mina's. "You think I don't care? My life isn't exactly a walk in the park either. We're both in this mess, so we might as well find a way to deal with it."Mina looked away, her emotions churning. "Fine. But don't think for a second that I'll make this easy for you."
Jihyo nodded. "Wouldn't expect anything less."
Days turned into weeks, and the forced engagement loomed over their lives. Mina continued her acting career, while Jihyo juggled racing and media appearances. Their public interactions were tense, filled with biting remarks and cold stares.
