Myoui Mina had always prided herself on her professionalism and competence. Graduating at the top of her class from the prestigious bodyguard academy was no small feat, and she had quickly risen through the ranks. But one mistake had landed her on desk duty, and she had been biding her time, waiting for a chance to prove herself again.

Today was that chance. She was back in the field, assigned to protect one of the most famous actresses in the industry, Minatozaki Sana.

As Mina arrived at Sana's luxurious penthouse, she couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. She had heard rumors about Sana's strong-willed personality and her aversion to personal security. But Mina was determined to show that she was more than capable of handling the job.

The door opened, and Mina was greeted by Sana's manager, a stern-looking woman named Jisoo. "You must be Myoui Mina. Follow me, please."

Mina nodded and followed Jisoo through the opulent hallways until they reached a spacious living room. There, lounging on a plush sofa, was Minatozaki Sana. She was every bit as stunning in person as she was on screen, with an air of confidence that bordered on arrogance.

"Sana, this is Mina, your new bodyguard," Jisoo announced.

Sana looked up, her eyes scanning Mina from head to toe. "A bodyguard? Really, Jisoo? I don't need a babysitter."

Jisoo sighed. "Sana, we've been over this. The fanbase is getting out of hand, and those letters and messages are serious. You need protection."

Mina stepped forward, meeting Sana's gaze with calm determination. "Miss Minatozaki, I understand your concerns, but my job is to ensure your safety. I will do everything in my power to respect your privacy while keeping you secure."

Sana rolled her eyes but didn't argue further. "Fine. Just stay out of my way."
The first few days were challenging. Sana was as difficult as Mina had anticipated, going out of her way to make Mina's job harder. She would slip away from crowds without warning, attend events unannounced, and generally push every boundary Mina set.

But Mina was relentless. She shadowed Sana discreetly, intervening only when necessary. Gradually, Sana began to see that Mina was not just a shadow but a protective presence.

One evening, after a particularly grueling day on set, Sana received another threatening letter. Her hands trembled as she read the words, and for the first time, she felt genuinely afraid.

Mina noticed the change in Sana's demeanor and approached her cautiously. "Miss Minatozaki, is everything alright?"

Sana handed Mina the letter, her facade of confidence slipping. "It's another one. I don't understand why this is happening."

Mina read the letter, her jaw tightening. "We'll increase security measures. I'll stay with you at all times, even if it's just in the background."

Sana looked at Mina, seeing her in a new light. "Thank you, Mina. I...I appreciate it."
As the days turned into weeks, Sana began to trust Mina more. She realized that Mina wasn't just there to invade her space but to ensure her safety. They started to spend more time together, and Sana found herself opening up to Mina in ways she hadn't with anyone else.

One night, after a particularly harrowing encounter with an overly persistent fan, Sana and Mina were sitting in the living room, a comfortable silence between them.

"Mina, why did you become a bodyguard?" Sana asked, breaking the silence.

Mina looked thoughtful. "I wanted to protect people. To make a difference. After my mistake, I wasn't sure if I'd get another chance. But being assigned to you has given me that opportunity."

Sana smiled, a genuine smile that reached her eyes. "Well, I'm glad you're here. I don't think I could have handled all of this without you."

Mina felt a warmth in her chest at Sana's words. "I'm glad to be here, too."

Their bond grew stronger, and Sana's initial resistance melted away. She realized that Mina was not just her bodyguard but someone she could trust implicitly. Mina, in turn, found a renewed sense of purpose in protecting Sana.
One evening, as they were preparing for a major awards ceremony, Sana stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her dress. Mina was nearby, ensuring everything was in order.

"Mina, do you think they'll ever stop?" Sana asked, referring to the threatening messages.

Mina walked over, placing a reassuring hand on Sana's shoulder. "We'll do everything we can to make sure you're safe. And no matter what, I'll be here."

Sana turned to face Mina, gratitude and something deeper shining in her eyes. "Thank you, Mina. For everything."

Mina nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Always."

As they left for the ceremony, Mina couldn't help but feel a deep sense of fulfillment. She had regained her confidence, found a purpose, and formed an unbreakable bond with the woman she was sworn to protect.

And as for Sana, she had found not just a protector but a confidant and a friend. Together, they faced whatever challenges came their way, knowing that they could rely on each other no matter what.
