"Seriously?" You mumbled, looking at the diamond necklaces displayed across the shelves, and then back at Shubman.

All he did was smile and kiss your cheek.

The staff appeared nervous even though the mafia boss beside you hadn't even said a word or spared them a glance yet.

Robin made the prior arrangements, assuring the level of safety in the building as he waited there for you both to arrive

Shubman appeared and every staff member assembled on the floor you both were in, making sure they were at your service.

"You need to stop doing this, Shubi," you said while Shahneel was already pointing at different necklaces she thought you might like to start with. "I don't want to bankrupt you."

Well, that is an impossible feat.

"Everything I have is yours as much as it's mine, baby," he looked into your eyes, an arm wrapped around your shoulder.

Shubman leaned in closer, love and fondness in his brown orbs that were scintillating more than the diamonds.

"My life's purpose is to love you, adore every little thing about you and spoil you," his other hand held yours on your lap. "So no hanging back anymore about spending what's yours. Okay?"

You nodded and he brought the back of your hand to his lips.

Through your peripheral vision, you caught the ornament that shined with a soft, slightly wavering light.

"You want something, it's yours," Shubman placed your hand back on your lap.

"Y/n, try this," his sister ushered and you finally looked away from him.

The next couple of hours went by in a jiffy.

You believe you'd worn almost every piece of jewelry in the store.

Shubman insisted that you try on anything you like and buy it, assisting in putting each necklace around your neck.

'You want it? It's yours,' became his most used phrase for the evening, affectionately told whenever you hinted that you liked something.

And Shahneel was hell-bent on making sure they were going to buy everything you even remotely liked.

"Are you sure, honey?" He asked, helping you remove the earrings you were trying. "That ring matches your pendant. Should we buy a different color?"

He referred to the chain you'd been wearing around your neck lately, one of the twenty four Christmas gifts, and the staff were ready to get it from the next floor if needed again.

"I'm hungry, baby," you said and that was enough to divert his mind.

"Let's have dinner then," Shubman replied quickly. "We'll just buy everything and try them later at home."

You looked at him incredulously. Spendthrift is a measly term.

"We'll grab you a snack on the way," he added, not wanting you to be hungry even on the way to dinner at the restaurant, as was the plan. "Di, shall we leave?"

"You both go ahead, Shubi," Shahneel answered without looking at him. "I have a few more things to buy."

She stared at her reflection on the rectangular mirror in front of her, and took the necklace off after a few seconds.

"Just leave Robin or Jay behind," she said while also deciding that she liked the necklace.
