I remembered when I found out,
A balloon full of anxiety, no doubt.
But then I held you in my arms so tight,
And I knew you were the key, my guiding light.
From the lock I put over my heart,
You unlocked a love, a brand new start.
The questions that once filled my mind,
Were finally answered, leaving doubts behind.
The riots in my head, they found peace,
As I watched you grow, my heart at ease.
I remember the moments, so pure and true,
From a little angel in my arms, to a learner anew.
You will get there, I have no doubt,
Every milestone, every step, you'll figure it out.
But before you do, my child, please know,
I will always be proud of you, wherever you go.
Proud to be your father, strong and true,
Nothing will ever change the love I have for you.
Through the highs and lows, the joys and tears,
You are my greatest blessing, my heart holds you dear.
