Once upon a time, my heart was whole,
Filled with innocence, a love untold.
But then came a moment, a painful blow,
My first heartbreak, a seed of woe.It shattered my world, my trust was shaken,
A love once cherished, now forsaken.
But amidst the tears and endless ache,
I vowed to rise, my spirit awake. For though the pain cut deep, I came to see,
That one heartbreak won't define me.
I refused to let it taint my view,
Of the beauty and joy love can ensue. It's true, my dear, it's hard to love again,
To trust, to let someone in.
The wounds may linger, the scars remain,
But I won't let fear be my only chain.I'll take my time, heal at my own pace,
Embrace the journey, with newfound grace.
For love is a risk worth taking, you see,
A chance to feel alive, to truly be free.So I'll open my heart, though it may tremble,
To the possibility of love's sweet ensemble.
I'll learn from the past, but not let it define,
The love that awaits, so pure and divine. For in every heartbreak, there lies a lesson,
To grow, to evolve, to find a new passion.
And with each step forward, I'll find my way,
To a love that will brighten even my darkest day.So here I stand, resilient and strong,
Ready to love, to right the wrong.
For my first heartbreak, though it left a scar,
Will never extinguish the love that's in my heart.
