You've changed, they say, and they are right,
But it's a change that fills me with delight.
The past was not the best version of me,
But I've grown and evolved, and now I see.
I don't regret the mistakes I've made,
For they were lessons that my path paved.
They served as obstacles to bring me here,
To a place where happiness is clear.
Here, in the warmth of my family's embrace,
I find solace, love, and endless grace.
Their well-being is all that I desire,
Their smiles and laughter fuel my fire.
I changed because it was necessary,
To leave behind what was temporary.
To embrace a present and future so bright,
Where joy and contentment take flight.
Yes, I may encounter shadows from the past,
But I am confident that I'll hold steadfast.
For every challenge, there is a solution,
And I'll face them with strength and resolution.
I don't seek forgiveness for who I once was,
But I offer gratitude for the moments and the cause.
Those experiences shaped who I've become,
And now, a better version, I have overcome.
