The Uninhabited Island; Class D's Base Camp
While resting for most of the day due to my condition, the fifth day had flown past so quickly and it was now the sixth. I still remained inside the tent, sleeping and slowly recovering from my illness. Although I was sound asleep, outside, I could hear faint sounds of something dropping on the tent. Rather, there were multiple things dropping down. It was light and repetitive, and for some reason, it kept getting faster as each second passed. Then...
*RUMBLE*
Due to the sudden loud noise outside of the camp, I opened my eyes and sat up. There was no one else besides me inside the tent, and outside, I could hear the faint voices of my classmates panicking. Wondering what it was, I unzipped the tent door and looked outside.
It was dark and raining heavily. Flashes of lightning could be seen in the sky and the sound of thunder followed after another and another. Everyone was running around, grabbing our remaining supplies and preserving it so it wouldn't be blown away by the strong wind.
"Come on, come on!"
"Grab it, quickly!" Seeing how bad it all was, I ran outside and joined with the others.
"Horikita-san?" said Karuizawa.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"Earlier, it was only sprinkling, so we didn't think too much of it. When it started pouring through, that's when it turned for the worst. By the time we all came together to gather our supplies, most of it was already gone or spoiled. Luckily, we managed to save some of it," said Takahara.
Takahara turned his head and I looked to see he was staring at a cooler where they had stored our remaining food, protecting it from the storm. I don't remember our class getting one, but from what Furukawa told me the other day about how we lost some Points, I assumed they bought one with it.
"I'm sorry about that," Kasai apologized to him.
Takahara sighed. "It's too late for an apology now. I'm just glad that you guys bought it when you had the chance."
Once everyone else took care of everything, we all came back together to form a plan. "How much do we have left?" I asked.
"Not much," they said. "We still have food, but it's not enough for all of us."
"I see. In that case, we'll have to go out and find more," I said. "Split into groups and search for anything you can find." All of my classmates nodded and left with their groups. As Furukawa was about to follow behind them, he stopped to look at me who was standing behind.
"...You've noticed them, haven't you?" he asked, staring at me.
"Yeah..." As I stood in the cold rain, my sickness getting worse, I could hear a rustle from behind me. I turned and looked to see a girl staring at me from the woods.
Based on Furukawa's description of the spy he found-the girl having long blonde hair and blue eyes-I assumed the girl I was directly looking at was her. She stared back at me only for a brief moment before turning around and running off in the opposite direction.
"You're going to chase after her?" Furukawa asked.
"Yeah. Can I count on you to stay here and look after the camp?" Furukawa nodded, then I ran off, following after the girl.
The Uninhabited Island
Moving past through the trees, running on muddy ground, I ended up in an open area of the island where the girl stopped and stood in front of me.
