Chapter Six - Well, that's awkward!
Nicolette wasn’t too sure how much time had passed when she realized that the water in the tub was no longer hot. As much as she wished that she could stay in the tub forever, she couldn’t.
Slowly, she got out of the tub, dried herself and changed back into her clothes. When Nicolette unlocked the door and tried to get it open, the door didn’t budge. At first she thought that there might have been something wrong with the door, but then she came to realize that it wasn’t that at all. It was the work of Devon Shade!
And as if on cue, she heard the jerk’s voice from behind the door. “Wow, looks like you’ll be stuck in there for a while.”
“What the hell? Let me out!” yelled Nicolette, banging on the door loudly.
“I don’t know…you haven’t been very nice to me so far...”
Nicolette growled, suddenly feeling the stress pour back into her again. “Alright, what can I do for you to unlock this freaking door?” she demanded.
“Oh you know what I want, I want you to pay back my shirt…no better yet I’ll just let you sit in the bathroom and think about what you have done. After all, you need to learn your lesson, what better than this? See ya later.” he said before Nicolette heard a door slam.
“Fuck you!” she yelled, but she was pretty sure that Devon was gone.
Heaving a sigh, Nicolette leaned against the counter top and pondered on what to do next. And then it came to her, she still had her cell phone with her… Why not call Skyler?
As soon as she reached into her pocket, she frowned. It was then that Nicolette remembered that she had forgotten to put his number into her contacts list before taking a bath… and now the number’s erased from her arm!
Before she had any further thoughts, her cell phone suddenly rang.
She quickly checked the call ID and immediately a smile sprouted on her lips.
“Matthew!!! Thank god you called! I was about to think that I was isolated from the rest of the world.” she said quickly.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow down a bit;” said Matthew with a chuckle. “So why are you isolated from the rest of the world?”
“Well I’m trapped in my coed room’s bathroom and I can’t get out.”
“How can you trap yourself in?”
“I did not trap myself in; someone else did!” Nicolette stated angrily. Then she started to explain everything that had happened to her in the last couple of hours. By the time Nicolette finished the story, she could tell that Matthew was laughing.
“Hey! Don’t laugh! It’s not funny at all!” she grumbled.
“Okay, but you do realize that it’s like a couple hour’s drive to where you are right?”
“Yes, but I’m a little worried that I will never get out of this washroom alive,” said Nicolette sarcastically.
“Well actually you’re in luck really, that’s why I called to tell you the good news! My parents signed me up for Silvestre Academy too since my dad just got promoted and my mom is doing her usual scientific studies. They just told me last minute and I got here a few minutes ago,” explained Matthew.
“Oh my gosh! Are you serious?” she asked before continuing as if he had already answered. “Oh, thank you! You are like my savior! Now get your butt here right this instant!”
