Yami Yugi is sitting in his room on the blimp, staring out the window. He is deep in thought, going over his strategies for the upcoming duels in the Battle City tournament finals. Suddenly, his new friend Diana enters the room. She seems hesitant and avoids making eye contact with Yami.
Yami: [noticing her hesitation] Diana, is something bothering you?
Diana: [she fidgets with her hands] No, it's nothing.
Yami: [concerned] Are you sure? You seem a bit off today.
Diana: [sighs] It's just...I had an argument with Tea.
Yami: [surprised] Tea? What happened?
Diana: [looks down] Well, she's upset because of a boy she has a crush on. She thinks I like him too.
Yami: [realization dawns on him] Ah, I see. And she said something to you that made you avoid me.
Diana: [nods] I didn't want to cause any problems for you during the tournament.
Yami: [smiles] Diana, I appreciate your concern. But you should know by now that my priority is not just saving the world, but also impressing you.
Diana: [blushes] Yami...
Yami: [gently holds her chin] I want you to know that I care about you. And I don't want anything to come between us.
Diana's eyes widen in surprise as Yami leans in and presses his lips to hers. They share a passionate kiss before slipping into Yami's bed and falling asleep in each other's arms.
*SKIP TIME*
The next morning, Yami wakes up and sees Diana sleeping beside him. He smiles and kisses her awake. She opens her eyes and smiles back at him.]
Diana: [giggles] Good morning, Yami.
Yami: [leans in to kiss her again] Good morning, my love.
Diana: [pulls back] Yami, we need to get ready for the gathering area.
Yami: [frowns] Right, the finals. [notices hickeys on Diana's neck] Wait, what happened last night?
Diana: [blushes] I think we got a little carried away.
Yami: [smirks] I'm not complaining. [kisses her again]
They both get dressed and head to the gathering area, where they are greeted by their friends Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Duke. They all look at Yami and Diana with raised eyebrows.
Joey: [smirks] Looks like someone had a good night.
Tea: [notices the hickeys] What happened to you two?
Yami: [glares at Tea] Maybe you should ask yourself that question.
Tea: [taken aback] What did I do?
Yami: [angry] You said something to Diana that made her avoid me.
Tea: [defensive] I was just looking out for her. I didn't know you had feelings for her.
Yami: [firmly] Well, you should have taken that into account. Diana is my girlfriend, and I won't let anyone come between us.
Diana steps in and puts a hand on Yami's arm, calming him down. She then turns to Tea with a determined look.
Diana: [to Tea] Yami has every right to be upset. But I also want you to know that I love him too. And nothing will change that.
Tea looks at them with a mix of surprise and understanding. She then notices Yami's possessive hold on Diana and the way he glares at other guys in the room, especially Kaiba. She realizes that there is more to their relationship than she thought.
Tea: [apologetic] I'm sorry, Yami. And I'm happy for you both.
Yami: [smiles] Thank you, Tea. [looks at Diana] And I'm happy to have you by my side, my queen.
They share a loving look before joining their friends for the final duels. As they walk, Tea notices Kaiba's lingering gaze on Diana and realizes that he is her cousin who raised her. She quickly fills in the others, and they all look at Yami with newfound respect.
Tristan: [pats Yami on the back] Looks like you've got a powerful ally on your side, Yami.
Joey: [grins] Just make sure you keep an eye on Kaiba. He might try to steal your girl.
Yami laughs and pulls Diana closer to him. He knows that she belongs to him, and he won't let anyone come between them. Together, they face the final duels, with the support of their friends and their love for each other.
