Away From My Perfect Life (Naruto Fanfiction)

Part 32:

      After Fuyumi and Kakashi finished her mission, Kakashi kept apologising for being so careless.

     "Kakashi! Be quiet!" Fuyumi yelled.

     "But-"

     "I will publicise your face if you keep apologising."

     Kakashi paused and nodded, no longer apologising, but obviously still felt bad.

     "Wait, did you say my name without formalities?" Kakashi realised.

     "Huh? Oh my god! I'm sorry! So sorry!" Fuyumi panicked, immediately bowing to him.

     He chuckled, "I don't mind, I've been calling you Fuyumi for as long as I could remember." 

      "Well, yeah. But I was younger than you." 

    "I was also supposed to call you Fuyumi-Sama, right?" He teased.

    Fuyumi got flustered and started yelling at him, "You know, that interviewer wouldn't stop calling me Fuyumi-Sama! I yelled at the camera and everything, and there is no way you are calling me Fuyumi-Sama!"

     "Then there is no way you're calling me Kakashi-San." He added.

     "But I've been calling you that since forever."

     "You don't have to anymore, I don't mind. Kakashi sounds better anyway. I'll call you Fuyumi-Sama if you keep doing it." He argued.

     "Fine...Speaking of which, can we go to a near village first? Since we're here, I really don't want to miss it!" Fuyumi beamed.

     "What is it?"

     "My customer's wedding, Lia! She was supposed to get married much earlier, but they decided to wait to get their finances under control. I'm their flower girl!" Fuyumi explained.

     "Oh, is that why you didn't want to go on the mission?" Kakashi realised.

     "Yeah, kinda. But I knew I could teleport so I would just slowly teleport there after the mission. I'm lucky it's actually near here." Fuyumi laughed.

     "Wanna join? I'm allowed to bring someone!" Fuyumi cheered.

     "Sure, I have nothing on after this." Kakashi nodded, following her.

     When they arrived, Lia's eyes lit up as she ran to her, "Fuyumi!"

     "Lia! You look so good in the dress!" 

     The wedding continued, with Fuyumi as the flower girl and crying at the side after the wedding continued.

     "You are one emotional girl." Kakashi sweatdropped.

     "You're a heartless man!" She cried, wiping her tears.

     "I'll get you some cake, try not to cry too much." Kakashi sighed, patting her head before walking away to get some cake.

      While Fuyumi cleaned herself up, Lia walked over to her, "Who's that guy? A boyfriend, perhaps?" She beamed.

     "No! He's just my plus one because we were coming back from a mission, I was lucky it was near."

     "Mhm..Sure. Hey, I have a small gift for you, just for everything you've done for me." Lia smiled, taking out a small box and opening it to show a bow.

     "It's so nice, and looks expensive. Are you sure?!"

    "Mhm." Lia nodded, putting it on her.

    "Thank you!" Fuyumi exclaimed, hugging her.

    "Hey, I'm back.." Kakashi trailed off, seeing the bow she now had.

    "Oh! I'll get going now, have fun~!" Lia sang, before leaving.

    "Hi, Kakashi-Sa-Kakashi. Look, Lia gave it as a gift!" Fuyumi smiled, turning to show the new bow on her hair.

    "It's nice, here. I tried some, it's really nice." He nodded, passing her a slice of cake.

     They stayed for a while, with Fuyumi having a chat with Lia and her new husband, who wanted to thank her for all she's done, with Kakashi just standing beside Fuyumi awkwardly.

     'She knows way too many people.'

    "Kakashi, wanna head out? Tsunade-Sama might worry if we take too long." Fuyumi asked, realising it was becoming dark.

    "Sure."

    "Lia~! We're going now, bye!" Fuyumi smiled, waving bye.

    Once the reached Konoha, Fuyumi left once Kakashi entered the room to avoid being paid.

    Fuyumi was giggling to herself, thinking she was extremely smart by tricking Kakashi, but turned to her window only to see Kakashi smiling at her, which made her scream.

     "K-Kakashi, what are you doing here?" Fuyumi stuttered, trying to play off her scream.

     Kakashi stood in her room, glaring at her, with Fuyumi's head low in fear.

    The two then heard footsteps, "Fuyumi, you okay?! I heard you scream!" Kiyo yelled from outside.

    "K-"

    Kakashi covered her mouth, putting a finger to his mouth, signalling her to be quiet.

    Kakashi removed his hand, "I'm fine Kiyo, I just fell!" 

    "O-Okay, call me if you need anything!" Kiyo said before he left.

    "So..Why did you leave, Fuyumi? To avoid getting paid?" Kakashi sighed.

   "No..."

    Kakashi glared at her again, "It was unnecessary. The money was supposed to be all yours." Fuyumi explained.

    "I didn't bring you on this mission with the idea of taking all the money." Kakashi scolded.

    "I'm sorry.." Fuyumi sulked.

    "Take the money." Kakashi stated.

    "Yes, Kakashi.." She groaned, taking the money and keeping it in her wallet.

   "Now that I realise, where's your headband?"

   "I don't wear it anymore, I'm not exactly a qualified ninja. I'm more of an honorary ninja, kind of. I can't fight, but I'm powerful." Fuyumi explained.

    "I see, but next time. No running off like that." Kakashi warned.

    "...Fine." She frowned.

   "I can't help but wonder, do you like the chase?" He muttered, leaning forward.

   "Chase?" Fuyumi questioned.

   "Nevermind, I'll see you later. Bye." 

   "Bye!"
