"Alright Miss L/N, here are you release papers. Do take it easy, you should be able to return to your normal workout routine in about 2 weeks time. Until then regular walks are all I can recommend for you now" Your doctor tells you as he hands you the paper work for your release.
"Thank you, Doctor" You reply as you fold the paper and put it into your pocket. "Have a good day Ma'am" He tells you before walking out the room. You slip on your shoes that Farah had brought you earlier. Thankfully she was able to pack you some clothes for the day you leave the hospital. God forbid you needed to rely on any of the men to get you some clothes, they'd probably snoop in your pantie drawer for all you knew.
You chuckle to yourself at the thought as you put on the black hoodie, grabbing your wallet and putting it in your hoodie pocket. You look at yourself in the mirror, you looked a little paler than usual, your hair slightly dishevelled but hey, you were alive. That's all the mattered, right?
You open the hospital door only to bump into Ghost. "S-Simon?" Your face heating up at the unexpected proximity. "What are you doing here?" You ask him as you take a step back. "I came you pick you up and bring you back to base" He tells you as he grabs your bag out of your hands. Such a gentleman, you think to yourself. "Oh, okay. Thank you" You comment as you both start walking down the corridor together.

"I swear! Had Y/N not gone in there I don't think we would have gotten him alone!" Soap exclaims to Gaz. You were all gathered in the lounge part of the base, Gaz and Soap playing pool as they continue to talk as if you weren't there. "Really stole the show on that mission, huh?" Keegan asks as he sits next to you, making you awkwardly smile his way. "Yeah, I guess I did huh? Sorry bout that" You say as you take another swig of your rum and coke.
It had been a little bit since you last had a drink but damn you needed it. You weren't going to take those pills the doctor prescribed you. You told him not to and he did anyways. You were against the pain meds, having seen what they did to your dad. The trauma of them making you steer clear of them at all costs.
"Y/N, can we talk?" Keegan whispers to you. You sigh knowing exactly what this conversation was about to become, but you knew he needed that closure. You certainly weren't going to tell him about your little escapade with Ghost in the bathroom or any other interaction you both had. Those were private and sacred moments you'd keep close to you. You nod as you rise from the couch, signalling with your head for him to walk with you.
He followed your queue, you both walked slowly down the hall. You couldn't exactly be quick on your feet right now since you were still recovering. You stayed quiet, giving him the opportunity to say what was on his mind, surely he had plenty he needed to say. You had both made it to the roof of the building, it was a little chilly but the alcohol you had been drinking all night was keeping you warm, but it didn't stop you from raising your hood to cover your head a bit from the chill.
You sit down on one of the plastic chairs causing him to grab one and bring it beside you. It was silent, too silent. But you certainly weren't going to be the one to break the silence, he said he needed to speak to you so you'd wait until he felt ready to. It took him a couple minutes to gather the courage to formulate his words. You look up at the stars, watching them glisten as you waited. How beautiful they were, you admired.
"Y/N.." He says to you softly, grabbing your attention. "Yes?" You say back softly, looking at him now. His blue eyes looking into yours now. "Man, I don't know how to say this.." He says as he scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. "Just say it Keegan, no need to be shy. We definitely weren't shy with each other a couple weeks ago" You admit to him causing him to look away and nod. "You're right".
